Projected deficit spending over the next ten years (2013-2023) is 3.072 TRILLION dollars more than we are taking in..

This is a very conservative estimate based on the fact obama has spent more than half of that in three years in office.

The Buffet rule, if passed, would raise 4.7 billion dollars over the same period.

That would reduce the Federal deficit by a whopping 1-1/2 % over ten years.

Translated another way, it would currently run the government a couple of days.

Much ado about nothing, but a great way to attempt to start class warfare buy diverting attention from a miserable record of leading the country in a positive direction as he promised.

The Republican party will expose this hoax so even the “progressive socialists” in the Democrat party understand it.

Maybe printing it in crayon would help.

End the wars - savings 500 bil a year.....

Adopt the same health care plan that WORKS for every single other developed country in the world - savings 1 trillion a year

Since we largely privatized the health care system we've gone from #19 in life expectancy (1980) down to #50 in 2011.

And we pay twice what other countries do - American Exceptionalism in action.

Completely agree. End the wars and protect our own borders instead.

"Adopt the same health care plan that WORKS for every single other developed country in the world - savings 1 trillion a year."

Zero proof of that at all, but get the lawyers out of it forcing the doctors to do dozens of unnecessary tests just to protect themselves from lawsuits. Get the doctors paperwork for both the government and the insurance companies out of it . Clean up the mountains of fraud in the Medicare program. You will have a good start.

"Since we largely privatized the health care system we've gone from #19 in life expectancy (1980) down to #50 in 2011."

It looks like the great Obama depression is taking it's toll. We are a fat and lazy society. Get off your ass and cut your calories. Too much sitting around the pool waiting for the welfare check to arrive. For some, the only exercise is walking to the mailbox to collect the gifts from the 47% er's. That is why we are #50. Being #19 when Reagan was president may be way too ironic.

"And we pay twice what other countries do - American Exceptionalism in action"

See above. More people healthy = lower costs for everyone.

The GOP war on workers has killed again...

It’s time to stop the conservative's war on working people in America.

Since the birth of our nation, conservatives have always been wary of average working-class Americans having too much political or economic power. John Adams, the second President of the United States and a Federalist (precursor to today’s Republicans), was very wary of the working class, which he referred to as “the rabble.”
