If the left wing had the same dominating control media as the 6 corporate empires and control of as many information sources as the right wing, the thousand plus radio stations coast to coast, most of the print newspapers, republicans would collapse in an instant as a viable alternative party to the liberal Democrats , because then all the people would know just how they've been played for a sucker by these small band of wealthy maniacal right wingers and how they've been manipulated and turned into haters of their own countrymen.

Consider what i've described as a dominate right wing control of all the media and information services that these republicans command, then think of their limited success as lukewarm to pathetic and even then they've have to cheat and commit treason to marginally win.

My question is when are all the left wing millionaires and especially billionaires , these so called liberals, going to put their money where their mouth is and help defend the many from the evil self serving few.

I have not bought a newspaper in years. The internet definitely has replaced them. If you buy a printed newspaper you are just burning trees. I can go to a newpaper website or others of my choice. I also do not listen to radio anymore. Everything I listen to is podcasts (most commercial free). Itunes has an incredable selection. You make your choices. I choose not to watch Fox News.

As I said on the other thread, just have Soros and his rich allies buy up some papers and media outlets. Don't tell me that none are for sale, or that he doesn't have the money. Problem solved, right?

So what is Soros and all of the other rich progressives waiting on? Well, we know the answer to that, don't we?

Coalage , we agree, finally, if like you said one of these liberal billionaires would just cough up enough money to start a left wing version of fox news.

Stephanie Miller about a month ago recited on her show, how she was working at the TV station Al Gore had bought and her morning show had become number one. Al Gore sold the station off to Al Jazeera who paid Gore 500 million bucks. Stephanie now out of a job with no where to go, number one on the morning slot, asked Al Gore for a grub stake to restart her morning show, he ignored her, never replied. Now she runs her show out of her basement in a house she has rented and she's still number one. What i have told you, was censored twice by Thom's gate keepers, perhaps not wanting the ugly truth to get out about what a schmuck Al Gore is with all his money and his indifference to supporting liberals.

Left wing billionaires (the few that exist) have never invested in left wing media because the left wing wants the truth. The truth does not make profit. The right wing wants to hear what it wants to hear. Thus Fox News, it reports what the completely gullible right wingers want to hear. It does not matter if it is true or not. Left wing media does not sell because it is the truth and not sensational and made for profit news. Show me a lie on a Racheal Maddow show. It does not exist. Show me a lie on Fox and I will refer you to Mediamatter.org that shows them daily.

I suspect Legend is referring to Media Matters as a reputable source for straight up accurate unbiased news. He forgets that Media Matters is funded by a LEFT WING BILLIONAIRE George Soros and it's founder is David Brock one of the industries most well known arrogant pricks. Brock is now kissing up to the leftie/socialists crowd because he, like many other celebrities and media talking heads, hung his star on the wrong democrat candidates shitwagon but now he openly repents seeking absolution for his help in the pillorying of Bernie Sanders. Ya, let's all flip over to Media Matters for "fair and ballanced reporting"

Okay, so go online and factually debunk one of their articles. You can post it here. They picked a rather easy job, debunking Fox News and Rush Limbaugh. I also challenged you to debunk Rachael Maddow, go ahead. You are challenged.

As far as right wingnuts preferring to hear what they want to hear and not the truth. How has the likes of Rush Limbaugh and Michael Savage made it so big? Savage has virtually no truth. Limbaugh a little.

Gee, Bill O'Reilly and a President of Fox News had to settle another sexual harrassment suit today. Is that Bills 2nd or 3rd? I lose track.

Why doesn't the rich left start their own media outlets? You must believe that there are more progressives/liberals in the country than not. As every liberal pundit has pointed out ad nauseam since the election, Hillary "won" the popular vote.

Money is not the problem. So what is it? You say its because they tell the truth, and apparently the truth isn't popular with the public. So you are saying that liberals/progressives in this country don't want to hear the truth? Thats funny because I would guess that Rush Limbaugh and Michael Savage have been saying that same thing for years.

Democrats have "right wing" resourses. They have Hollywood and the liberal media, anf MSNBC, etc. Its just that people don't want to watch their drivel, or their anti-mainstream effluvia.

The mainstream likes Fox news and all of its clones for a reason. They are tired of far left wing activists proscribing how we should act.

The DEMS could have all the resourses in the world, but that doesn't mean they could buy the support of the intelligent American mainstream.

http://www.politifact.com/personalities/rachel-maddow/

Inevitably mistakes are going to be made, either intentional or unintentional. The real concern is how issues are framed and what is left unsaid and the false impressions left.

For instance, on the day TPP fast track was passed I tuned into Rachael to get her take. She did not even mention it the WHOLE hour. Why?

How many times have you heard "The Russians hacked the elections" over the last couple weeks by the media? That leaves the false impression that Russian actually hacked the results, a far cry from just hacking and releasing DNC emails. A full 50% of Clinton voters actually believe that Russia hacked the vote tallies....

To get a full picture of the world you need to understand that every single news source has either an overt or groupthink bias. You need to take in all reasonable sources to get the full picture.

Interesting site, I do not have a lot of time right now. One major lie attributed to Maddow was Wisconsin dying under Scott Walker. Without doing research, I have worked in that state and it has died. Manufaturing is gone. lots of cows and cheese. yet MN is doing well. Anyway, a quick click on Rush Limbaugh to compare, hardly close Gumball:

When you speak extemporaneously for 3 hours a day as opposed to a 1 hour prepared show you are inevitably going to have more material for fact checking.

Regardless, my point is not that we should add up all the untruths and compare numbers.

My point is that every news source has bias to one degree or another and will not provide you with the full picture. Do you disagree?

"Democrats have "right wing" resources. They have Hollywood and the liberal media, anf MSNBC," quote TomDorr. Tom are you aware that each morning ,'liberal' MSNBC starts each day with three hours of Morning Joe, a right wing extremist ,who was involved in a scandal with his pretty young aid ,while he was in political office ,who suddenly turned up dead ,amid rumor's infidelity. The 'owner' of MSNBC the CEO of COMCAST a hard right republican, when he took over , whose first preference of business was to clean house of all effective left wing talking heads, starting with Keith Olbernann, leaving an ineffectual counter argument to fox 24/7 propaganda.

Interesting website Gumball. The one lie or false allegation against Rachael Maddow has to do with the shrinking middle class in Wisconsin under Scott Walker. Which reading the Pundits analysis they only based on 2 years of Scott Walkers administration. They should have done more research to call it a debunk.

Analysis of PolitiFact's ratings[edit]

University of Minnesota political science professor Eric Ostermeier did an analysis of 511 selected PolitiFact stories issued from January 2010 through January 2011, stating that "PolitiFact has generally devoted an equal amount of time analyzing Republicans (191 statements, 50.4 percent) as they have Democrats (179 stories, 47.2 percent)". Republican officeholders were considered by Politifact to have made substantially more "false" or "pants on fire" statements than their Democratic counterparts. Of 98 statements PolitiFact judged "false" or "pants on fire" from partisan political figures, 74 came from Republicans (76 percent) compared to 22 from Democrats (22 percent) during the selected period reviewed. Ostermeier concluded "By levying 23 Pants on Fire ratings to Republicans over the past year compared to just 4 to Democrats, it appears the sport of choice is game hunting — and the game is elephants."[31] The study was criticized by PolitiFact editor Bill Adair and the MinnPost, with Adair responding, "Eric Ostermeier's study is particularly timely because we've heard a lot of charges this week that we are biased—from liberals […] So we're accustomed to hearing strong reactions from people on both ends of the political spectrum. We are a news organization and we choose which facts to check based on news judgment."[32]

A writer with the left-leaning magazine The Nation argued that findings like this are a reflection of "fact-checkers simply doing their job […] Republicans today just happen to be more egregiously wrong".[33] A writer with the right-leaning Human Events claimed that after looking at Politifact's work on a case-by-case basis a pattern emerged whereby Politifact critiqued straw man claims; that is, "dismissed the speaker’s claim, made up a different claim and checked that instead". The conservative magazine noted Politifact's use of language such as "[although the speaker] used [a specific] phrase […] in his claim, [it] could fairly be interpreted to mean [something more general that is false]". Human Events cited Bryan White's PolitiFactBias blog to state that "from the end of that partnership [with the Congressional Quarterly] to the end of 2011, the national PolitiFact operation has issued 119 Pants on Fire ratings for Republican or conservative claims, and only 13 for liberal or Democratic claims".

More hush money reported being paid to protect sexual predator Bill O'Reilly, caught again terrorizing women at fox news. Apparently according to public sources, O'Reilly gets off calling fellow female workers and sounding like he masterbates while talking dirty. Talk about a dirty old man. This the same Bill O'Reilly who beats his wife, drags her up a flight of stairs in a headlock choke hold, this the same man who compounds his abuse of his wife by committing adultery with sexual advances towards another female employee, that to settled by the fox news executive with hush money. These are the people who are the backbone of the rightwing propaganda machine, that daily poisons the minds of nearly half of America. In any civilized society , these sick people would be shunned, ostracized not held up as the moral compass of half a country.

Truth is Americans are daily being propagandized by a thousand right wing AM hate radio stations , 6 mega media empires, and most of the news print owned by the filthy rich establishment. Considering this its a wonder the liberals ever receive any votes let alone hold the Presidency of the White House 15 out the 23 election cycles since the mid 1930's. Obviously inspite of calculated agressive free wheeling money being spent by the wealthy right wing, Americans have rejected the republican philosophy of greed and selfishness. Truth is the right wing philosophy is a total failure without a constant cash transfusion of right wing money and even then its barely competitive.

Is Trump Right As Rain on NAFTA & Offshoring?

When asked during his confirmation hearing on Wednesday about his position on the Trans-Pacific Partnership, former Exxon Mobil CEO Rex Tillerson - Donald Trump's pick for Secretary of State - said that while he did not personally oppose the agreement, it didn't further America's interests in its current form.
