I have looked up oil spills on youtube and found many, the one i found really interesting is the one in australia from less than a year ago. 8000 feet below the sea floor oil was leaking and was stopped....WHY HAVEN'T WE STOPPED THE OIL?
Remember people like Rush L., Glenn Beck, congressmen such as Boehner & Mitch McConnel saying the USA had the best medical care in the world???? A recent National Geographic report shows the USA in 2009 spent per capita, per person $7,300.00 for health care while Japan spent $2,600 per person.
Rand Paul, son of Ron Paul, just won the Republican nomination to run for Senator from the State of Kentucky. He's mostly on the right, being endorsed by Sarah Palin as well as others, but oddly opposes the war in Iraq and the Patriot Act. He's also against the erosion of civil liberties begun on the bush regime.

THIS SAYS IT ALL!
"Voting for Rand Paul and getting to know him may be two different things. For better or for worse, he's property of the GOP." - RSN
I must really thank Thom for being a part of this life cycle with me, he is not the only person i listen to, but he is the only one I trust to give me the real nuts and bolts of the political situation.... so I must celebrate this chance to be alive and breathing at the same time with people!! much love all!!!! ( I know that I probley misspeled words but I'm only human I am not a spelling bee robot! )
While I wasn't born yesterday; I have just discovered Thom's books, blogs and shows.
I am very surprised too see the way Thom seems so chipper reporting the dark news of our out of control government and economy. It is great to stay informed; but the size of this problem is mega-huge and has so many people cooperating with it. I am glad Thom is so excited to keep us up to date on the real news that affects us all; but it does scare me.

On Sunday mornings I watch “Meet the Press” and tape “Reliable Sources” just because. I wish “Meet the Press” was meatier and pushy like good reportage needs to be. I watch Kurtz because for the most part he turns an honest critical lens on the media in his weekly CNN show. From what I gather, he even criticizes the reporting on his own network. I find his approach fresh and enlightening. I wish there were more networks that not only criticized the reporting of the media on other networks and papers but also included themselves.
As controversy bubbles in the Rand Paul camp, his (radical?!) libertarian views have come to the forefront the media's interest. In a recent Rachel Maddow show, a systematic dissection of "politicianese " was done. This kind of investigative journalism is what makes Ms.Maddow's show one of the best in its respective field.. So without further ado here are the issues I thought should have been clearified by Dr.Paul and Maddow. Centralized on the tenth title of the 1964 Civil Right Act.
