How The GOP Used Twitter To Stretch Election Laws

CNN, November 17, 2014

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Republicans and outside groups used anonymous Twitter accounts to share internal polling data ahead of the midterm elections, CNN has learned, a practice that raises questions about whether they violated campaign finance laws that prohibit coordination.

The twitter accounts were hidden in plain sight ...The profiles were publicly available but meaningless without knowledge of how to find them and decode the information, according to a source with knowledge of the activities.

Where have all the real social safety nets gone

A family is never will be an actual replacement for a real social safety net !

Obama’s Treasury Undersecrtary: Wall St involvement in any Small Business program will only raise the cost of funds to the business.

Unless, of course, Wall St decides to provide whatever “service” (aka “scam” or “skimming”) they are providing for free.

Messaging Must Be Better- Single-Issue Voters!

I've been a depressed political junkie since the Nov 1999 election was taken.

I've always been amazed how so many people vote against their best (economic) interest and then complain about the economy. It's becaiue they are passionate enough about one or two issues (religion, abortion, guns, racism, etc.) that they cant wait to get a chance to vote! I just heard that Democrats outspent Republicans on get-out-the-vote efforts 10-to-1 for this election cycle and there was record low turn-out.

Climate deal with China, Smarter than we think?

I wonder if the climate change deal with China might be even more clever than we think.

Not arguing that it is perfect, but I wonder if just having something in place before whatever Pacific trade deals are signed might spare some of the conservation / green energy provisions from the liability built into the trade deals?

It is looking inevitable (in the US and sadly here in Canada) that the Pacific trade deal will be signed, with provisions for companies to sue governments for losses of potential profit due to environmental regulations or limits..

Dirty Energy: California water crisis boils over; urgent, panic stricken, screams for drastic measures.

Gosh, how could anybody have seen this coming!? Poor Washington I guess they’ll have to turn to Wall St for help.

In the 300,000 years since the emergence of modern humans, carbon dioxide levels have never been this high.
