Nice try Intrepidd, but your post is full of emotional lies. In 2012 President Obama presented a Veterans jobs bill that would have provided one billion dollars to help veterans find jobs, who were at that time killing themselves at 22 per DAY. Just one of many attempts by Obama to put Americans to work , all defeated by the obstructionist, party first, do nothing Republicans

I noted nobody is doing that.
One of the best things I read on immigration was Thom's article "Reclaiming the Issues: "It's an Illegal Employer Problem" in Common Dreams, July 19, 2006.
Has Thom moved away from his position voiced a decade ago? I know racism and xenophobia are real motivations for some people on the immigration issue. What made Thom's 2006 article so useful was that he wrote about immigration in its complexity beyond the sound bites and limited, usual narrow scope.
The last few elections Republicans would always go on about how good they are at creating jobs. They repeatedly chant "Jobs, Jobs, Jobs". So voters believe them and elect them to create jobs.
However, after they are in office, they do absolutely NOTHING to create jobs. I checcked the list of bills proposed by the last and current House of Representtives, and could not find even one jobs bill - NOT ONE!

My Post of Saturday, June 25, 2016, has been revised as of today, Monday, June 27.
As a Professor, I would give the earlier version a grade of "B+", and the later version a grade of an "A".

There is a belief among some wealthy people that all or at least most poor people are poor because they are lazy or drug addicted or have some other major moral failing which is the cause of their poverty.
When you watch The Usual Suspects, a vain proclaimation is made on behalf of the character Verbal Kint. He plays a mentally and physically disabled man under interrogation with the police as to how an organized crime shootout came to be. As he walks away from the interrogation on the sidewalk, you see his crippled walk suddenly normal up. His catch phrase is " the greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist".
