Where do you, yourself #ThomHartmann draw the line? You're a pitchman for #Uber the greediest tax avoiding unicorn tech company of the 1% -- the marriage of #AynRand #SiliconValley and the #DemocraticParty ; how can you read #ThomasFrank 's #ListenLiberal and not realize he's calling you out for promoting Uber? Is there any greater sign of #WhitePrivilege than the belief you alone live in a #Randian regulation free Utopian bubble? Is there any greater sign of white privilege than believing you are above the law? Uber refuses, under threat of leaving the market, to allow cities to perform #safety #criminal #background checks. Is that because of #MalePrivilege ? How often do you think about being a victim of #SexualAssault ? Probably never, but you've signed off on putting women alone in cars with #rapists. Maybe you, like unwitting passengers, believe Uber's #propaganda about performing background checks. I've told you repeatedly #UberLied to customers about the alleged background checks for which they charged customers. They settled a #LawSuit for $38 million. But you continue to take their money and stick your head in the sand while convicted sexual #predators continue to sexually assault women. So, apparently, nothing short of death is where you draw the line. #ShameOnYou. #RegulateUber. #Now.

Would a Democratic President Wield Power as Ruthlessly as Trump?

Thom plus logo Interestingly, the current divide in the Senate gives us an insight into how powerful a genuinely progressive Democratic president could be, and how much he or she could get done. As we saw yesterday, the Republicans voted repeatedly to participate in a cover-up of Donald Trump's crimes.
