HILLARY NEEDS TO HAVE A MORE ELOQUENT SLOGAN THAN TRUMP’S
Friday, September 9, 2016 Beverly Hills, CA
Attention: Thom Hartmann, Hillary Clinton and America!
I am getting sick and tired of hearing the same insulting commercial on talk radio here in Los Angeles. It’s not very long, but neither is a bee sting. Ninety percent of the available talk radio shows in this area are performed by conservative Republicans. It seems that only KPFA is left, and it only plays taped shows from recent Thom Hartmann shows and Sunday morning they have the brilliant economist Richard Wolff and a few others. The Democratic Party needs to create its own national talk radio syndicate, like Fox so-called News has for the Republicans. Let’s get competitive.
Let me share with you this sour radio spot of which I referred to above: One hears “Adolf Benito” Trump saying, “Let’s make America great again”, and then Hillary immediately says, “It can’t be hard to imagine how we’ll pull together again”.
What are the conservative ratio stations trying to do, embarrass Clinton? I’ve never heard Hillary say this, and it is a very vacuous quote of hers, even if it is her voice and she said it before. Well, she needs to adopt a slogan that is more eloquent and memorable than Trump’s “let’s make America great again”. Perhaps she could proclaim, “let’s make college education affordable (or free) again”, or, “over turn Citizens United: return the vote from Wall Street to Main Street”, or, some other specific, defining issue that is often repeated in all, I say all of Hillary’s stump speaches for the next two months until the election. Trump is winning the Slogan War, and Hillary needs to overtake Trump on this propaganda battle
