It's clear to me that both the Democrats and Republicans act the same on the big issues, The answer is to fire BOTH the Democrats AND Republicans.
It's only the smaller issues that they fuss over during elections. They each have about half the seats in the House and Senate so they are deadlocked when it comes to doing anything useful.
Voting for either a Democrat or Republican makes no difference, i.e. your vote is wasted. Voting for a minor party so far has not been effective since the vast majority of the votes are for either a Democrat or Republican. Not voting will not lead to a change. So how to effect a real change?
The answer is to fire BOTH the Democrats AND Republicans. To let them know this is your intent change your voter registration to Decline to State or unaffiliated, or stop voting for the Democrats and Republicans in the primary elections. If you are affiliated with a minor party change your registration to Decline to State or unaffiliated. If you're not now registered to vote, do so as Decline to State or unaffiliated.
Then no longer vote for either Democrats nor Republicans.
In order for this to work it's not necessary to have a majority in either the Senate or House, it's only necessary to control a small percent of the seats. That way the unaffiliated vote can block any bad measure by either party and can pass any good measure by either party. This effectively puts the non affiliated in control. The non affiliated can propose legislation and there will not be a us-vs-them political fight and these bills will have an excellent change of passing.
It's up to each voter to be sure whoever their vote goes to has a know position on your key issue, whatever that is.
PS in the video when I say "independent" I mean unaffiliated, not the Independent party.
