As of 5-21 BP has called for the reduction of workforce on its current expansion project at its Whliting IN refinery. This new propject is to refine Canadian oil-sand.
Also a maintenance shutdown on a sulfur recovery unit has been almost completely stopped. This project has a crane inported from England with a million dollar a week rental, IT SITS IDLE. The reduction of workforce has been estimated at over 1500 construction hands.
Also several BP stations in the area of this refinery were sold to Luke Oil. One day being BP the next Luke even the signs were changed.
I can't wait to hear how they explain their way out of all this.
