It is so very sad. Although I have voted Democrat since I voted for JFK (my first time vote) there always seemed to be some Reasonable Republicans. It seems they all are dead. That is so sad.

Now they just seem to be ignorant and darn mean. I hope it is not just racism showing it's ugly head but I fear that the Senator Mitch somone is a total racist and also very mean. I wonder how some of these very mean people get elected. Seems very sad that people can be so fooled by politicians. They make me feel that we are a Third World country with all the bribes politicians (both parties) take.

I have worked so hard when I was younger and healthier to have them have a Campaign Reform policy but it never happened. That lets us know how greedy they are.

I also wonder especially this year if these people think government is so terrible why do they want to go into the lions den. I have decided anyone smart enough and honest enough to be a politician is too honest and too smart to want to get involved in the dirty business of politics.

Here's what the feud and reconciliation between John Adams and Thomas Jefferson can teach us about civility

Thom plus logo Donald Trump did not invent the art of the political insult but he's inflamed the level of vitriolic public discourse and incivility to a new low unmatched by other presidents. In a tainted tradition that has permeated our history, other presidents have not been immune to dishing out acerbic insults against one another.
