The Bourgeoisie has resolved personal worth into exchangeable value, and in place of the numberless and feasible
charted freedoms has set up that single, unconscionable freedom - Free Trade. In one word, for exploitation, veiled
by political illusions, naked, shameless, direct, brutal exploitation.

I took an old book off the shelf and started reading it again (after 30 some odd years). This quote struck me. It seems so appropriate for our day and age. Replace Bourgeoisie with the Oligarchs and you have exactly what is going on in this country today. The Oligarchs have made humanity a simple numbers game, the greatest example of which is sending jobs overseas simply because it is cheaper. All in the name of "FREE TRADE" with the result .... exploitation. Exploitation of the worker, exploitation of the environment.

It wasn't written yesterday or even last century, but in 1888. It is from my old dogeared copy of "The Communist Manifesto" by Karl Marx.

Does Trump "Tweet" When His Staff Says No?

Thom plus logo Lev Parnas tells the story of how Donald Trump fired ambassador Marie Yovanovitch at least "four or five times," and that they were afraid that he would "fire her with a tweet." This is not the first time we have heard from White House insiders that the president often gives irrational or stupid orders that his staff then ignores.
