what we choose to eat is destroying our planet

Thanks, Holymoly. I enjoyed that video very much. The only flaw was the mention of his products and book, but otherwise his message is absolutely correct.

I just might go share the link on another thread... ;-)

It was a nice film about the family and pets, but nothing like Food, Inc.

I was liking it till the end when they showed all the adults swilling champagne in crystal flutes over the heads of children, celebrating the good life.

I personally don't consider that healthy, moral, or a good example for the kiddies.

I've known many a person to make their own beer, wine, and champagne which doesn't bother me.

But I was raised in a Wine Cellar and came to view Champagne as the height of immorality, for all it represents- it is a beverage enjoyed by those who pay up to $4,000 a bottle or more. It represents the sans souci, the "I really made it" attitude when some people don't even have clean water to drink, and the old rat pack culture of women, diamonds, and furs.

Therefore, the smell of it even makes me ill. Plus, I don't agree with adults setting the example of drinking and smoking around children.

My Baccarat Crystal flutes I gave away and I have two wine glasses left which I will give to someone else when the occasion arises.

What Do Democrats Really Want?

Thom plus logo Thomas Friedman, the confused billionaire, told us decades ago that "free trade" is what made the Lexus a successful product when, in fact, it was decades of Japanese government subsidies and explicit tariffs that did so.
