Someone just called asking how unions are or can help by having input into traded deals and laws. Unions have always been involved by educating their membership and doing some lobbying on behalf of workers' rights. Unfortunately, the anti-worker forces label this as unions having too much power and being involved in ways they should not. Many people believe this and don't like unions because of it. I think the political efforts of unions are appropriate and necessary for any worker representation in crafting legislation.
