There is evidence of Norquist attempting defund our government into bankrupcy. There are government records, interviews, articles, and books by Norquist that implicate him as an anarchist out to destroy America as we know it. He imfamously announced during a NPR interview (May 25, 2001) what his anti-government movement was planning, "My goal is to cut government in half in twenty-five years," he says, "to get it down to the size where we can drown it in the bathtub." http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?

Grover Norquist is a career activist who compares all recipients of gov. programs to cockroaches, and he was a driving force behind the Bush tax cut that the Senate approved in 2001. He has been advocating extreme conservative causes in Washington for more than 30 years, and now his sole ambition of killing the government is about to be actualized. Should the U.S. government allow the sociopathic desires of one person to supersede the U.S. Constitution?

I would venture to guess that a majority of members of Thom's Web site already agree with what you are saying. Writing about the Norquist problem and other such matters here is of limited effectiveness. Progressives need to organize through organizations, call members of the public in support of candidates or favorable ballet initiatives, and write or call their members of Congress and express oppositon to Norquist and the far-right Tea Party opinions.

How our republic could die in the age of Trump - in a stunning parallel to the fall of Rome

Thom plus logo The American republic could die, just like Rome. Wavering for some time on the verge of becoming a complete oligarchy, America is on the verge of flipping from a democratic republic to a strongman or autocratic form of government, something that's happened to dozens of democracies in the past few decades, but never before here.
