Yes, not only his temperament, but also that he hasn't mentally grown up yet. He's still acting like he's in high school or, more accurately, middle school. Such a person does not belong in the White House and makes our country the laughing stock of the rest of the world.

You are too kind... putting Trump in Whitehouse is like putting fecal matter in the punchbowl at your daughter's wedding reception. Trump is unfit for human consumption.

"He's still acting like he's in high school or, more accurately, middle school."

You give him too much credit. His constant bleating about "fake" news is more worthy of a six year old boy who has learned what he thinks is a dirty word and runs about endlessly repeating it hoping to get a shocked reaction from adults. Even in old age he is still mired in a childish look at me behaviour pattern.

And so? What are you or anyone DOING about it? Jawing and blogging won't get it done.

Alberto, You are using the "Panacea Argument" to dismiss these comments. Incidentally, you are jawing and blogging here. What are YOU doing to get it done?

Nothing, Phil, although I actively joined in and tried when younger. Now, at 86 and recovering from a recent and near fatal heart attack, I'm sidelined but trying in a small way to egg on the youngsters.

Keep egging them. We have several younger generations of folks who need to realize that they are going to have to live with the upcoming mess much longer than some of us, and they need to get going, hit the pavement and run the bought and owned politicians out of government.

My panacea comment relates to the positions that some take to defeat every incremental improvement by dismissing them by stating that the solution does not solve every problem. The worst offenders are the gun nuts who oppose everything. What's next, are they going to lobby to make safetys on guns optional (in the name of "freedom" and "citizen choice?").

What Do Democrats Really Want?

Thom plus logo Thomas Friedman, the confused billionaire, told us decades ago that "free trade" is what made the Lexus a successful product when, in fact, it was decades of Japanese government subsidies and explicit tariffs that did so.
