Think about how these words are pronounced:
callow
fallow
gallows
hallowed (be thy name)
(marsh)mallow
sallow
tallow
("Wallow" is a special case. W tends to make following a's sound like /ah/. Compare "water" and "hater".)

Now think about how these words are pronounced:
follow
hollow

Now, based on the pattern, how would you pronounce "Halloween"?

Are you an English teacher? If so, why are you calling yourself "Mathboy?"

Alice, I happen to be good at both math and language. I might have called myself "langboy", but my real name doesn't have "lang" in it.

Who Will Stop World War III?

Thom plus logo Back in 2001, after 9/11, Congress gave the president the authority to basically wage war anywhere in the world where there were governments affiliated with Al Qaeda, the radical Sunni Muslim group that came out of the Saudi Wahhabist movement. Iran is Shia Muslim, essentially the sworn enemies of the Sunnis.
