UNICEF Fundraiser for the Horn of Africa using proceeds from sale of The Concert for Bangladesh 40th Anniversary thru August

Before "We are the World", before "Live-Aid", before "Farm-Aid", and before "Comic Relief", there was the Concert for Bangladesh. The concert was organized by George Harrison and Ravi Shankar to help the people of Bangladesh during the simultaneous floods, civil war, and famine of 1971. Performers at the event at Madison Square Garden included George Harrison, Ringo Starr, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Billy Preston, and Leon Russell. UNICEF is teaming up with iTunes and Apple Records, Inc. to make the concert video available for free download thru August 1st. If you like the music from the video, please buy the music to support the relief fund. Proceeds from the sales of the music during August will be donated to the relief fund.
