Registering voters and spreading the 411 on Prop C in Los angeles. Tabled today at the Crenshaw FarmersMarket. Talked to some very nice and receptive folks who wanted to know what Prop C was all about and why they should care. Had some good conversations with some older people who have been voting since 1960. Wow. Positive experience.

Prop C passed in Los Angeles and we carried that victory to Long Beach. Starting with a teach-in by a David Cobb, we stirred up interest in moving money out of politics in our community. We formed Long Beach Action and moved our City Council to pass a resolution saying money is NOT speech and corporations are NOT people. Now the focus turns to a state ballot measure so that California can light the way towards a 28th amendment to our Constitution. Thanks to Thom and David for inspiration!

Excellent. Gives me actual hope (not the smoke and mirrors national-advertising-slogan variety).

How Do We Take Back the Military From the Billionaire Owned Military Industrial Complex?

Thom plus logo Democrats (Bernie & Lee) in the senate proposed legislation saying what the Constitution already says: that Trump can't go to war with Iran without congressional authorization. Every Republican on the committee, except Rand Paul, voted against it.
