Simple answer to the origin of meats that is now being made anonymous by both the WTO and the US meat industry: They may not need to label the country of origin, but that does not prohibit others from labeling the meat "Born and Produced in the USA." Simply assume that if it is not labeled so that it is foreign meat, from only God knows where, such as a slimy basement in Shanghai. Maybe we just need to eat more veggies. I don't buy the Chinese tilapia and anyone who does is out of their mind and may end up like the American dogs that were poisoned by melamine, or by Salmonella chew sticks.

We eat a plant-based diet most of the time; meat generally on special occasions, and never red meat. I've started buying organic chicken. The fish we eat is mostly caught locally. Hopefully we're "beating the rap"...
