The following is from the Associated Press:

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Three people were stabbed Saturday, one critically, after a small group of Ku Klux Klan members staging an anti-immigrant rally in Southern California clashed with a larger gathering of counter-protesters, police said.

The violence erupted shortly after noon in Anaheim's Pearson Park, about 3 miles from Disneyland. The KKK had advertised plans for the rally and about 30 anti-Klan protesters showed up beforehand, said Anaheim Police Sgt. Daron Wyatt said. When the Klan members arrived they were attacked as they exited their cars, he said.

One Klansman stabbed a counter-protester with the decorative end of a flag pole, Wyatt said. That stabbing set off a vicious brawl in which Klan members and protesters fought across an entire city block.

One Anaheim police sergeant saw a Klan member with a knife in his hand and a counter-protester bleeding nearby, Wyatt said. The sergeant took the KKK member into custody. Meanwhile, counter-protesters stomped on two KKK members, he said.

Wyatt said police were present when the violence erupted but did not say how many officers were deployed.

Brian Levin, director of California State University, San Bernardino's Center for the Study of Hate and Extremism, witnessed the violence and told the Los Angeles Times he saw no police when it started.

Chris Barker, who identified himself as the "imperial wizard" of the Loyal White Knights of the KKK, said his members were holding a peaceful anti-immigration demonstration and acted in self-defense.

"If we're attacked we will attack back," said Barker, who did not attend the rally and spoke by phone from North Carolina. The organization lists Pelham, N.C., as its headquarters.

A Ku Klux Klansman, left, uses an American flag to fend off angry counter protesters after members of the KKK tried to start a "White Lives Matter" rally at Pearson Park in Anaheim, Calif., on Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016. The event quickly escalated into… In total, 13 people were detained; six Klan members in connection with three stabbings and seven counter-protesters suspected of assaulting KKK members. All the injured were male. None was immediately identified.

The KKK has a long history in Anaheim. In the 1920s some Klansmen held elected office in the city, which was overwhelmingly white but now has a majority of Hispanics among its roughly 350,000 residents.

In January 2015, packets containing fliers condemning Martin Luther King Jr. and supporting the Ku Klux Klan were left in the driveways of about 40 homes in Santa Ana, about 8 miles south of Anaheim. The fliers opened with the heading "On Martin Luther King Day, you are celebrating a communist pervert." The bottom of the fliers stated they came from the "Loyal White Knights of the Ku Klux Klan."

Nationwide, the number of active KKK groups increased to 190 in 2015 after falling in 2013 and 2014, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center, which tracks hate groups.

Kenyatta makes you wonder how many of those KKK clan members are married with children and are actively poisoning those young minds. Perhaps no worse than the fundamentalist religious cults scattered across the US.

No matter how you slice it Mr. Zap , this is not going to turn out well. For this is a nation of which its very infrastructure is built upon a concept of white supremacy and resultant violence. And people of color, worlwide, will no longer accept subjugation on that basis.

It is what it is.

Feb 26, 2016. Black Killer Rampages Through Kansas Factory and Kills and Wounds Dozens - Cedric Ford :
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZksRSEUM4BI

Check out Colon Flaherty's web site on You Tube. He's got many, many examples of black on white violence.

By the way, I am a black man who works on cars. I don't have any idea what you mean by camel shit. I just recently discovered this web site. Anyway, like a lot of others, of my skin color, I'm sick and tired of criminals and troublemakers that only serve to demean my race. You can find many examples of other blacks who have spoken out against the black racists. You can see and listen to what they say on You Tube.

I get along just fine with most whites but with many blacks I have to pretend I'm like them. You should stop being haters using an excuse about what happened to the slaves. None of it happened to us. I believe it is just a cover for troublemakers who think they are going to get something out of it. You are all going to make life very difficult for all of us. It's a very dangerous game you are playing.

So, some whites wanted to start a White Lives Matter movement? So what! And some blacks got upset about it? Grow up!

I don't agree with the Black Lives Matter movement and I am not the only black that has that feeling. They are a bunch of rabblerousers and spoiled brats who should have had some parental guidance. If it wasn't for all of the crimes that black youth commit blacks would not have a problem with the police. I don't like it one bit that the police look at me and alarm bells ring. But I know whose fault that is. And I really can't blame the police for what they have to put up with.

Just what do you call subjugation, Mr. Kenyatta? Earning a living through honest work? Trying to get along with everyone including white people instead of stealing from them or playing hateful games like the knockout game? That's just pathetic!

Well said MelanicMechanic , you just put into words what I was unable to express properly. Thank you.

Nat I challenge your comment doubting MelanicMechanics race when he has just told you. How do we not know you Nat aren't a white racist provocateur , one of many working web sites pretending to be black, deliberately inflaming black white conflict to undermine race relations and harmony. Nat you know, I don't believe that , I'm only trying to get your goat, because sometimes it's entertaining to watch how feisty you can get when your pissed.

Mr Kenyatta as much as i criticize your posts and the way you present your argument, I have nothing but the highest regards for you sir as a person. I could only wish to have your intelligence and ability as a wordsmith, you are no light weight in the speech department either. Nat and your friends who I sometimes refer to as your gaggle of loyal followers (just to rev their engines) I know defend you out of respect for your attempts to bring to light the horrid race relations and injustices that daily confront anyone of colour in America. The intensity of their loyalty to you is testament to the good spirit and sincerity of your cause, no matter how misdirected I accuse you of being or think you perhaps come across as a black racist.

Now I know I'm going to get criticized for what I just said, because you and your militants, your friends will never be satisfied. If i agree, I'm accused of being just another 'whitey' , arrogant, uppity, if I disagree I'm just one of 'them' the object of your targeting. If I try to to praise you for your attempts, Im accused of having a white superiority complex ,trying to grant you my 'white' approval. So I said what I said, the comments stand .

Of the regular authors here Mr. Zap, I have had high regard for you. That is why I responded to you. You have an insight that is uncommon among the masses in this venue. Imbeciles come in all flavors, I know that you are aware that I have spoken on that fact in the past. I am very critical of Black People in America as is evidenced by my "Message To The Black Man (part 1)". But my criticism of my people is because they have failed to realize, and accept, that they are, in large part, dysfunctional. Our dysfunction, though righteous and pathological, does not remedy itself by perpetuating itself through ignorance. My criticism of the white man is his hypocrisy. When a white man, however erroneously, deems me a "black racist" because I have the audacity to tell him about his hypocrisy , to tell him that which pulls the hood off of his face; he negates any claim he may have on intellect. Intellect cannot exist without honesty. Point blank.

I lost considerable respect for you when you acted in such a way that comromised intellectual honesty. Being white, and "sticking together" TRUMPED your considerable intellect. And, just as you and your "kind" stick together so will the brothers and sisters. Frankly, I don't take any of it personally...with the exception of attacks on someone's (especially mine) children. For when, in history, have white folks supported a black man who refused to tap dance for them? I am not here to make anyone comfortable, black or otherwise, in their warm tub of Blackist bullshit.

In fact, it is quite the opposite, for I have my own agenda.

It is a pity that this society is what it is. I often imagine a society where great minds, and talents, could ascend no matter its humanoid incarnation. When I was an active musician ( I worked my way through undergraduate school by playing in jazz dives all over Southern California) I played with a lot if white cats; and once the countdown began, and we were in the pocket, we became one...until the music was over.

I apologize for "bloviating".

Speaking of musicians and intellect...and Blackism, one of the most endowed white people I have come into contact with here is "Alice". Unfortunately, like you, Blackism reared its ugly head in the end. My experience has been that white people suffer from a disconnect when it comes to Melanics (especially Black People in America) and do not expect for us to defend ourselves and fight back; let alone employ their methods. To this I say "good luck". Alice sent me some fantastic music, she is extremely gifted and I listen to her music often. And even though you, Alice and a multitude of others have repeatedly launched highly personal vicious attacks against me, you will notice that I have not reciprocated them; I leave that to others. Once I write the piece, I'm done; no need for me to comment on my own commentary. But, just like you and the rest of your folks, I will defend and stand by mine. For life.

As a footnote, Brother Allen is a man whom I deeply respect. His intellect is cosmic. His reference to "camel shit" is because "melanicmechanic" is "palindromedary" is "cspan2". A person repeatedly banned, thus the various incarnations. None of you really know what my day job is, but linguistic forensics is a component thereto. The fingerprints match.

Mr. Zap, another footnote: my "little" brother Nat (260 pounds and bench presses twice that) I have known since he was 6 and I was 8. I can assure that he is black, and he is Muslim. If you like, I can send you video of the two of us. We both travel the State speaking to black youngsters in a variety of environments.

Brother Foe connected with me by contacting Hartmann's staff (like Alice and others). I have not met him personally, but I am willing to bet the farm that the brother IS a brother. We tend to recognize our own.

Kenyatta

( to Zapdam) " I lost considerable respect for you when you acted in such a way that comromised intellectual honesty. Being white, and sticking together". Kenyatta i think in particular you are referring to my defense of Alice. It is not true that we white folk 'circled the wagons' on you and your friends. The intent of my defense of Alice was she was being repeatedly and i thought unfairly attacked, though she valiantly tried to stand her ground, she was considerably outnumbered, i came to her defense as a result. I would without hesitation done the same for you, rs allen, Nat or anyone i seen caught in the same situation. So the perception of us 'white folk' sticking together is wrong.

I find the suggestion that any white person here at Thom Hartmann is or was "outnumbered" the epitome of fiction. Isaac Asimov type fiction. It only proves the fact that you are blinded by the white light. Since I was not around during whatever took place, my attitude is that if she was "attacked" she probably provoked that attack. The problem, as I see it is that you white folks feel like you are the arbiters of what we should think, how we should feel and how we should act. THAT IS THE PROBLEM AND YOU PERSONIFY IT. And if my telling you that upsets Mr. Kenyatta (and I don't think it will because I have communicated directly with the brother and know he is about TRUTH) too bad.

As for the focus of the AP story that spawned this thread... they shoulda gotten their asses whipped. Wish I was there to help.

Didn't the counter-protestors just give the KKK members what they wanted: attention? If 30 KKK members, or members of any other fringe group, want to hold a "rally" somewhere, it's best to ignore them. Had this not happened, how many people would have even knew the rally was going on? Now they got a national spotlight. I wonder how much money they've already made off of this.

Think of all of the "movements", rallys, protests, etc... that have come and gone over the last 40 years. They came because a few people were upset, and they left because the rest of the country ignored them. It works the came for all fringe groups.

This coming from someone who is obviously posting under at least 3 usernames and thinks that he is fooling the readers............. Doesn't say much for your "day job"

I have respect for rs allen, as well. Unlike you, he's honest and doesn't hide behind alternate usernames in fear of staining his persona while expressing his opinion............ It's a shame too, because you certainly have the talent to be a voice of reason if you ever decide to forgo the petty shit.

Violently confronting a KKK rally is as stupid as the rally itself.

Yes, Palindromedary's postings under an alternate username continues the theme of a fearful racist who refuses to acknowledge his own white privilege.

Oh Organgrinder.. Do tell! That was about as lame as it gets. Hate to burst your bubble but Kenyatta and I collaborate all the time. And we are two separate individuals. What? You having a hard time accepting the fact that black people can use a computer and write? Alice can attest to the fact if you need a white persons verification. You oughtta leave that crack alone while you sit in that gated community. I'm surprised you weren't at that rally getting your ass whipped. AND I really don't think Brother Kenyatta is interested in "reasoning" with white people. Don't think so.

Matt who cares if they got more donors? I don't understand how that effectively makes any difference. I think its great they got publicity.

Colon Flaherty has hundreds of videos that show black on white violence. You can try to demean Colon but Colon Flaherty's YouTube videos speak for themselves. You can't detract from what you see, repeatedly, with your own eyes and hear with your own ears.

Many cities in the U.S. have Black Separatists groups, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center who keeps track of hate groups in the U.S. Check out their map. They also stated that:[strong] "the number of black separatist group chapters went up by 59% from 113 in 2014 to 180 last year." it appears that they are all over the U.S., with many chapters per city. Some can't be pin-pointed to a city within a state so the map indicates that it covers the state. The Nation of Islam is the largest group and spread out in the U.S.

There are 11 chapters of the School of Universal Practical Knowledge in Baltimore and there are 33 chapters of the Israel United in Christ in Newburgh, NY. The New Black Panther Party has from 9 to 18 chapters in Atlanta. New York City has from 18 to 29 chapters of the Israelite Church of God in Jesus Christ. And Los Angeles from 2 to 8 chapters of the Black Riders Liberation Party. All Eyes on Egipt (sic) Bookstore in Milledgeville, Ga has from 2 to 10 chapters.

According to the SPLC: Neo-Nazi hate groups actually decreased from 20% in 2005 to 10% in 2015 while Black Separatists increased from 13% in 2005 to 20% in 2015. Neo-confederates went from 12% in 2005 down to 4% in 2010 and 4% in 2015. White Nationalists also decreased. The KKK stayed about the same but reduced by a percentage point in 2015 to 21%. Those are the numbers of hate groups but what about the numbers of total members of these groups?

The SPLC estimates that today there are between 5,000 and 8,000 KKK members (in 1925 it was about 6 million members) across 190 different Klan factions or chapters. There are 180 Black Separatist chapters but just the one Black Separatist group, the Nation of Islam, has about 50,000 members as of 2007. -wikipedia.

Now, compare the membership numbers of the KKK at 8,000 members to the Nation of Islam's 50,000 members (in 80 cities) and you get a better picture of which has the most racist haters and which is the biggest problem and threat to peace in the US today. Add to that the Black Lives Matters groups and those young punks that do flash mobs and play the knockout game and it might just show who in this country is the most hateful and antithetical to peace.

SPLC did have a chart that listed the largest hate groups in the US that Cenk Uygur flashed up on the screen on his MSNBC show, The Young Turks, a few years ago when he was still with MSNBC. The chart showed the KKK as the top hate group, then next one down was Neo Nazis, then the 3rd one down was Black Separatists. Cenk's jaw dropped when he realized that Black Separatist was the 3rd from the top and refused to name it. He said "Oh, that can't be right!" and went on with the show. And Cenk may have been right. Black Separatists probably should have been Number 1 on the list and not the 3rd one down. 50,000 members of only one Black Separatist group, the Nation of Islam, is far more than the KKK or Neo Nazis. And how Louis Farrakhan and other black leaders, like King Shamir Shabazz (former Nation of Islam member, then leader of the New Black Panthers, but since stepped down in 2013 to be a lawyer) and other [strong]black leaders can get away with saying that blacks need to kill all the white devils, even little white babies, is very sick indeed.[/strong] If white leaders said the same thing, but referring to blacks, they would be arrested for hate language. Former original Black Panther members Huey P. Newton (foundation) and Bobby Seale spoke out against the New Black Panther organization. By the way, Hashim Nzinga is the new leader of the New Black Panthers and it has been said that he is just as outspoken in hate against whites and Jews as Shabazz was.

According to the SPLC, the number of black separatist group chapters went up by 59% from 113 in 2014 to 180 in 2015.

"SPLCenter.org: Today, the [The New Black Panther] party appears to be a federation of as many as 35 chapters in at least 13 cities with informal but important links to certain black Muslims and other small black groups. In the last year, the Panthers have appeared publicly in Atlanta, Dallas, Detroit, Houston, New York, Norfolk, Va., and Washington, D.C."

""We will never bow down to the white, Jewish, Zionist onslaught," is the way Washington, D.C., attorney Malik Zulu Shabazz put it not long before becoming the chief spokesman for the New Black Panther Party.

And pray tell, just what do you think drives all these (by your inference of oh so 'bad' separatist) movements? What do you think drives people to these groups you find so odious? Why do you think black folk may collect together against what they see as a common enemy. Why do you think those orgs. may be more enticing than what white America has offered or does offer?

Why dat?

rs: I suppose the same could be said of organizations like the KKK and White Aryan Nation. What drives them to those organizations? Maybe things like the knockout games or flash mobs that gang up on one or a few white people, often defenseless women or children and do great damage to them, often killing them. Black gangs of hoodlums, flash mobs, that swarm into stores and rob them? Black punks hitting ladies in the back of the head with a baseball bat while she was shopping. If you watch those Colon Flaherty videos it goes on and on.

As a minority of only about a sixth of the people in the US, blacks commit more crimes than whites do. Even I have to worry about being a victim of other blacks in my neighborhood. Damn gang members drive through and shoot people ending up killing children in their homes doing their homework.

I agree with all of the videos from Colon Flaherty's web site. You can't deny what you see and hear on those videos, many showing major news media reports of the sickening things that black criminals have done. I've watched other fellow blacks on their web sites that reported on black crimes and I tend to agree with most of them as well.

And then there are wiggas (whites) who make the mistake of feeling sorry for the poor misunderstood and abused black hoodlums. The young wiggas try over and over again to be like blacks, try to talk the lingo, wear gangsta clothes, etc. Even largely liberal adults try to defend the poor misunderstood and abused blacks, that often commit crimes, eventually realize that the h8ful blacks h8 them as much as they h8 all other whites and that they have just been played for suckers. Sound familiar, anyone?

We are not all like those h8ful black criminals. Many of us are victimized by them too. And I am sick of it!

THIS is NOT that same rs.

Why do so many feel the need to trip over themselves by complementing biggoted, racists with qualities such as "intelligence"? Seriously, you tip-toe around the edges of guilt, and even worse, aknowledgement of the inverse, and in a way VALIDATE their idiocity.

ie- a black person cannot be an idiot, while only a white person can be an idiot. Really? In real life there are NO black idiots?

Depth of "melanin" composition" gurantees idiot-free people? Have you seen Africa? Boko haram? Idie Amin? Goodlucky Ducky?
