Below is the letter of support of the nation's air traffic controllers that candidate Ronald Reagan wrote to the Professional Air Traffic Controller's Organization in his run for the Presidency in 1980. History shows:

...that the incoming Presidency knew from the Jimmy Carter Presidency that there were labor issues with PATCO who represented all of the nation's air traffic controllers...

...that the Ronald Reagan-Donald Regan White House was pro-corporation and anti-labor and used the PATCO strike to give clear warning to the Postal Service employees as their contract was due just after PATCO's contract negatiations were to end...this worked well indeed...

...that Ronald Reagan, when serving as the president of the Screen Actors Guild was bold faced LYING to his membership because he was actually serving as an INFORMANT to the FBI and J. Edgar Hoover and that he was SPYING on SAG members...

...that the Ronald Reagan-Donald Regan White House was able to split away the AFL-CIO affiliated ALPA, [Air Line Pilots Association] as well as the Teamsters union so that they each sat ACROSS the table from PATCO instead of sitting on the same side as good union organizations should...

...that there were plans ahead of the strike to "set-up and break" the union and further, to use the event to begin to break other unions all across the country in the following years...

...that therefore, in the two union related activities in which Ronald Reagan was a major player, Leader of SAG and President of the United States, he was a liar and deceitful at each opportunity...

...that us PATCO controllers constantly and emphatically told the unions that in the end, the Federal Governement and Big Business were after THEIR JOBS...and soon there were "split wage pay scales" for pilots in the airline industry...just like we were trying to tell them...

I KNEW that there were such plans to break the union because former leaders of PATCO who had inside contacts told us directly and personally that this was the case...that the White House WANTED PATCO to go on strike because they were going to fire us all. Additionally, I knew that this was the case because I took part in the "contingency planning" to operate the nation's air traffic system WITHOUT the majority of air traffic controllers. This took place with the alleged "modernization" of the nation's traffic flow procedures and redesign of the nation's airspace for fuel efficiency. It was all covered under the Profile Descent and Metering Programs in which I participated and actually received a modest award for as I was the youngest and one of the brightest in the nationwide effort. BTW...it didn't work after we went on strike...HMMM?

Please feel free to send this letetr around to every single union member or organization in the USofA.
