Should the death penalty be used to punish those found guilty of making significant contributions to run-a-way climate collapse? Or should there be no consequences for their engineering what will very likely be the end of Humanity for their own selfish purposes?

Those who do not believe that the ambient temperature of the Earth is increasing are burying their heads in the sand. The coal, oil/natural gas producing companies (and countries) are primarily responsible for this, and the effects on climate and weather are going to be catastrophic to say the least. We have opened up a can of worms where the amount of green house gas will be increasing, no matter what we do from this point on.

As glaciers melt, along with the permafrost, and the frozen methane in the oceans is released, the exponential curve will continue to climb. We are all on a drinking binge of oil and those at the top are drunk with the short term profits. The addiction will continue until we overdose, and die from the consequences.

If they didn't punish anyone for the economic collapse, and they didn't punish anyone at BP due to the oil spill in the Gulf, and they didn't punish anyone for illegally invading a country, do you honestly think those in power are going to do anything to put any of their cohorts in prison?

This doesn't even take into account the hidden secret about what the long term effects of the radiation from Fukashima will have on our oceans.
