I would your comments please. To those who listen to the Thom Hartmann show and those who contribute to this website. Do you still feel President Obama is doing the right thing and allowing the Federal government provide you with health care options or should your employee provide that option. And if you were dropped do you feel it was caused by Obama-care or the greedy insurance companies.

Everyone should have access to healthcare without resorting to the emergency room. It's a right you know ..... life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, not to mention general welfare. Obamacare has forced their (greedy insurance companies) hand, so I'll let them share the blame. I blame Obama for not pushing for a public option.

Why do we need to have for-profit health insurance companies come between us and our doctors? Why don't we have the freedom to keep the waste, fraud and abuse ridden insurance companies from profiting off of our need for healthcare. Why don't they insure the air we breath and the water we drink? They are no different than healthcare.

It's unethical for Govt to faciliate private profits on what is a necessary good - healthcare.

Govt is there to save the Taxpayer's money by providing necessary goods and services at a cost to society that doesn't include a profit going to private individuals. To that end, ObamaCare is abject SHIT.

People who were dropped can think of the added cost they'll have to pay for their insurance as coming at the expense of preserving the profit of private health insurers. Oblah blah Care raises the fact that covering more Americans with insurance will require more money than insurance companies were getting prior to OblahblahCare, but resolves the fact by making the People (and govt) bear the cost of this additional expense, instead of taking the added expense out of the private insurance companies profits (private insurance companies can be replaced by a non-profit govt "department" that does the processing and approval of medical expenses for the 99% - look at the difference in overhead between medicaid and the for profit health insurance industry!).

Lev Parnas is afraid of Bill Barr - and he should be

Thom plus logo Lev Parnas recently told Rachel Maddow that he's more afraid of Attorney General Bill Barr than he is of the mobbed-up foreign oligarchs he has betrayed. Barr, after all, can weaponize our prisons to punish Parnas.
