University of Leuven's website, van Doorsslaere and Lapenta claim that Turkey's version cannot be right. Based on where the wreckage landed, their calculations show that it had been traveling at 980 kilometers per hour (610 mph) before it got hit. At that speed, they say, the plane would have covered the distance of 2 kilometers in seven seconds, not the 17 seconds claimed by Turkish reports.

Turkish air force's alleged 10 warnings for the Russian jet, the scientists point out that in five minutes a plane traveling at 980 kph would cross a distance of about 80 kilometers. From these facts, they conclude: "How could the Turkish air force predict that the Russian jets were about to enter Turkish airspace?

The Industrial corporate military war complex, the US war profiteers who really run America , are prepared to use the power and influence of their right wing neo cons lackey's ,to push Russia into another arms race , a world nuclear arms race just to increase the sales and profits.

These corporate sociopaths are prepared to the bring the world to the brink of nuclear confrontation, prepared to play chicken with a nuclear armed Russia , just to start another arms race , that will guarantee future government contracts.

Ultimately these same right wing sociopaths will invoke Americas first strike doctrine and someday be Americas shadow government catalyst ,pushing the button that wipes out half of world . The day the sky blazes with the radiance of a thousand suns. Millions of lives burn to ash and shadow. The DAY AFTER world that creates worldwide famine, deadly frosts and huge ozone losses. The results would be the death of hundreds of millions or billions.

Firestorms that incinerate cities and forests, torrents of smoke ascend into the atmosphere to entomb the planet in billowing, black clouds of ash.The resulting noontime darkness, plummeting temperatures and the eventual death of life on planet Earth. The 'nuclear winter '.

These confrontations with a nuclear armed Russia have 'Made in AMERICA' stamped all over them. Playing 'nuclear chicken' by toppling a democratic elected next door pro Russian Ukraine government and replacing it with an American friendly pro American regime. Colluding with Saudi Arabia to flood the world oil market with cheap oil, driving down the prices, hoping to collapse the Russian economy whose number one cash export being oil. And now the NATO war provocation of illegally shooting down a Russian fighter jet and most recently a Russian helicopter.

If the world comes to a sudden end it won't be caused by Putin, but instead maniacal corporatists prepared to gamble all mankind for that last big government contract and sale.

Easy... look at the map It would be obvious that on its course, it would soon enter Turkish airspace. So I assume the initial warnings were given before it crossed the border.

Of course Russia has its own map to "explain" how it was nowhere near the border.

That small protrusion of Turkey into Syria is about 4 miles wide at the top... where the border cuts west. The jet crossed in an area perhaps 2 miles wide. Given the jet's speed... the fighters that shot it down would have had to have been right there on the border and fired immediately... and even then it might not have crashed in Turkey. I suspect that when the missiles caught up to it, it was already out of Turkish airspace.

I think someone got trigger happy. Turkey had other options to protest. But then they don't want Putin helping Assad.

That plane was shot down in Syria because it had bombed DAESH (aka: Turkey), a US ally.

smithanderson78 that web site is very interesting indeed. Things the mainstream media can't or won't tell Americans and the world.

Not sure if you've watched any news, a 24 hour news program in english from Russia , fashioned after the old Ted Turner CNN. It's free, informative and very smart broadcasting , that's why the Americans are claiming they are losing the propaganda war with Russia.

I'm not so niave to believe there's not propaganda hidden somewhere in each broadcast day, but for the most part RT NEWS just lays bare the truth of the western worlds endless wars, those who are benefiting from them and the resulting misery and leaves the truth of the statement for you to decide, for the truth is damning enough. Plus they even have Ted Turners Larry King and of course Thoms one hour daily show.
