Perhaps this American violence is the legacy , the curse, of a country reared on mass extermination of First Nations people, the cruelty of hundreds of years growth on the backs of black slavery and a civil war in which 600 thousand were killed by their own countrymen.

Perhaps these mass murders are the result of a cruel and uncaring society, that is just fine with 50 million people having no health care, and the fact that on average every year 35 thousand uninsured Americans die of treatable illness. The cruelty of a society that says I've got mine and to hell with you.

Perhaps this is the legacy , the moral breakdown of a country that fraudulently involved itself in a Vietnam war that killed four million Vietnamese or a country that illegally invades the sovereign nation of Iraq based on lies and finds itself caught with torture prisons and after a decade leaves a million dead civilians , a country, the only country to drop Atomic bombs on a civilian population incinerating a quarter of a million people and country that never accounts for these crimes, these sins.

As a Canadian blogger named Gia puts it:

"Of course it is. The country was founded in violence and I don't see how they can remedy that.

America is slowly imploding. A paranoid nation that scorns education, commonsense, compassion, and a duty to help the weak and unfortunate. A country that celebrates great wealth, corrupt government, the worst instincts of mankind.

This will not end well."

Yes, it is. Imploding. And it will not end well. Its people - but not the world - deserve their lunatic president, his dumbass, rotten family and his weak-kneed staff who rely on their counterparts - wealthy, selfish, clueless "ädvisors" - for "atta boys".

What more awful death, disease and destruction will it (together with its ME friend, Israel) deal out before it's done? Help, someone! Anyone?

“Israeli society is sick, and it is our duty to treat this disease,” Reuven Rivlin, 75, told a group of Israeli academics this week.

President seeks to cure ‘epidemic’ of racism'Israeli society is sick, and it is our duty to treat this disease' and ease tensions between Arabs and Jews, Likud party elder statesman Reuven Rivlin tells academics.

Strong condemnation of anti-Arab racism in Israel is generally the province of the country’s Arab and left-wing politicians. So Rivlin, who opposes Palestinian statehood and advocates annexing the West Bank, does not seem like an obvious candidate to take up the cause. But despite his position on the two-state solution, the president has a reputation for defending civil liberties and minority rights within the land that Israel controls.

Reuven Rivlin, 75, ex President od Israel and a member of the extremist right wing , the Likud party elder statesman has been Israel’s most vocal politician in recent history on issues of racial discrimination and violence within the Jewish state.

Seems Israel and the US have things in common. No wonder a bankrupt US gives a prosperous Israel over a 11 million dollars a day, every day , 365 days a year and thanks to Obama , Israel is about to get a substantial raise.

Yes. The most egregious commonality being that they are both sick.
