"Russia Today spoke to American radio host Thom Hartmann, who believes the U.S. presidential elections vote won't be fair and that it's time for America to start behaving more responsibly in its relationship with the rest of the world."

Thom compared the crash of 1929 and the subsequent Republican Great Depression with current events and actions by Congress, quoting from many articles from the New York Times at the time.

They discussed whether a church should lose its tax exempt status if any of its pastors preached politics in the pulpit. Thom asked about Karl Rove's role in the effort to defeat Don Siegelman's proposed lottery to pay for education. They discussed whether there was selective prosecution of Democrats like Don Siegelman, Paul Minor, Richard Scrushy and even Republican Bob Ney who upset the Bush administration (some of whom are said to be innocent), while others at least as guilty were not prosecuted.

Senator Bernie Sanders voices his concerns and plans concerning the proposed $700 billion bailout of Wall Street. There's a petition on his site.

Thom and Congresswoman Donna Edwards, the newest congresswoman, discussed the most important issues affecting working families, the economy, super delegate (she is one), Republican tactics and themes, and the historic change in having both a black and a woman candidate.

Thom discusses with former Republican Congressman Bob Ney the Help America Vote Act (HAVA), the document he passed on to the White House saying that Iran would have recognized Israel and a whole host of other things and would have let our inspectors on their ground, and the reasons he was singled out for prosecution (while admitting he was guilty).

Mark Crispin Miller talks about an unimpeachable whistleblower on Republican election theft; Stephen Spoonamore, a lifelong Republican and erstwhile member of the McCain campaign until he discovered so much about the Republicans' election fraud that he resigned, and a prominent expert on computer crime.
