Will the corporate party's deeply depraved Democrat voters continue to lie about how long that war was — and whose war it was — when America waged war upon the people of Iraq, from Bush I, throughout Clinton and Bush II, on into the indistinguishable Obama regime?
_________

sanctions:

how America collectively punishes the people of nations it is preparing to invade, occupy, or bomb

the siege before the assault

Bill Moyers put it very well when he responded to Bill "no spin zone" O'liely's producer when Moyers got tired of the guy's questioning...."Why don't you ask Rupert Murdoch where the $20 per barrel oil is? The $20 a barrel oil that he said would come about after invading Iraq?" Well Rupert, for Bill Moyers, did you find that $20 a barrel oil yet? This Operation Iraqi Liberation (Freedom) was a bipartisan effort. The democrats just stood by, with their thumbs willingly up their rears, while dumbya, dick, and rummy et al invaded a country under false pretenses, and, only offering token, impotent, opposition. It is still sickening to think of all the lives ruined and lost over this goddamned war. And to think that none of the culpable bastards will never be held accountable, including those flag waving propagandists, makes it all the more egregious.

From The Thom Hartmann Reader:
"Thom Hartmann is a creative thinker and committed small-d democrat. He has dealt with a wide range of topics throughout his life, and this book provides an excellent cross section. The Thom Hartmann Reader will make people both angry and motivated to act."
Dean Baker, economist and author of Plunder and Blunder, False Profits, and Taking Economics Seriously
From Cracking the Code:
"No one communicates more thoughtfully or effectively on the radio airwaves than Thom Hartmann. He gets inside the arguments and helps people to think them through—to understand how to respond when they’re talking about public issues with coworkers, neighbors, and friends. This book explores some of the key perspectives behind his approach, teaching us not just how to find the facts, but to talk about what they mean in a way that people will hear."

From Screwed:
"If we are going to live in a Democracy, we need to have a healthy middle class. Thom Hartmann shows us how the ‘cons’ have wronged this country, and tells us what needs to be done to reclaim what it is to be American."
