This in a long line of decisions that refect con judges However many people do not get why its so hard for folks to get a state ID. Yes .I know GOP Gov's have closed some DMV sites or shortened hours . Therefore folks MUST do what it takes to get a state ID Maybe ask for a ride .to DMV Then you fool the GOP and vote in SPITE of them. !
I'm never surprised by the SCOTUS, but I am proud of Judge Ginsburg standing up for our rights inspite of Judge Alito's immature behavior as reported by an eye witness reporter from the Atlantic. I would have enjoyed seeing his behavior, which as described was similar to how Judge Alito acted out his displeasure in front of the audience and mouthed that the President lied....a short clip of that incident plays over an over at the site.
The author made a good case for why the SCOTU court should be filmed and broadcast just as any other Capitol hill event.

note to Thom: Please rant about this disrespectful behavior that seems to be a tradition with the male judges. We need cameras on that court. It isn't enough to just hear them and get a written report. "Pictures, especially videos show human behavior at its best and worst and speak volumes about the hypocricy and disrespect that the males have for their female colleagues.
I'm not surprised by anything this criminal corporatocracy does anymore. These criminals know the end of the empire is near. With OIL in decline, it's the end of growth and thanks to our horrible trade pollicies, unemployment will continue to grow and we can't keep fighting these illegal, unjust wars on China's dime. As the wars end, many angry young men, trained in the ways of war, will be coming home to a unjust, police state with growing poverty and inequality. That's not what they were told they were fighting for, they were lied to and they now know it.
How much longer can this continue? I think the states should start seceding from this disfunctional "union".This country is too big to be ruled by Washington DC and their hopelessly corrupt and unresponsive to the needs of the people.
Bless Judge Ginsberg for her statement. The writing is on the wall, there is going to be some real dirty tricks to distrupt voting rights.
So, the next presidential election when the supreme (election) court decides the election, the justices will have to show photo id before making their ruling?
