A city here in CA is doing this very thing. Richmond. CA. There is a better way with more leverage if we formed state banks. Legislate the charters to include all foreclosures go to the state bank. The state bank sells in lots to local community banks at discount. I-charted banks that are formed to help out distressed school districts could include purchasing foreclosures as set asides for teachers. This is how we can organize to pare down the big banks while strengthening our local community banks. Create affordable home ownership for single income families, that is water and energy efficient. This is what we could do.
If we do nothing then the next generation will be renting from the world's wealthiest.
