The Tea Party, living in an unrealistic dimension, seem impervious to reality. So I really doubt they are worried about Rand Paul or any party blunders. They are obviously unaware of the impact on the rest of the GOP, former supporters leaving the party in droves. Sooner or later, even their tactics for if redistricting and voter suppression won't help them. Let's hope it's sooner.
No, Rand purposefully kept talking even after McConnell told him he had a hot mic. He believes he's in power and was bragging about it. This was a message to his people. The man is a total lunatic. He didn't care about the mic at all!!
