Why give a choice between 2 YES votes. What happened to a NO vote?
The Republican party in its current form is a nest of traitors. They've now put that beyond doubt. Their pledge to Grover Norquist was against the interests of the nation and made to a non-elected entity. That alone makes them traitors. Now their letter seeking to undrmine the elected president (at best) or aiding and abetting an enemy country (at worst) is a reprehensible and treasonous act.
@jessieV: there is no NO answer to the question. The Republicans who signed this letter and the ones who signed the pledge to Grover Norquist ARE traitors and must be prosecuted as such. All their bluff and bluster and attempts at distraction about Hilary Clinton's emails arejust attempts to divert attention away from their heinous acts.
At a minimum, they should be censured, but I'm OK with prosecution, too.
Since there isn't a "NO", I won't bother to "vote" in this poll. However, my answer is obvious---no, the Republicans shouldn't be prosecuted for sending the letter to iran. It's not that I'm pro-Republican (I'm an Indie), but that this was just a political stunt designed to embarrass Obama (and thanks but no thanks, he's quite capable of doing that on his own). The embarrassment part came at the expense of the US Government again. Iran understands political ploys. They know their reputation here in the US.
In addition, it made the opinion of American foreign policy look even more haphazard than it already is in the eyes of the world. Besides, why go after the GOP for sending the letter? It may prove useful the next time the Democrats are in charge!
Throw the book at ‘em! I’m sick and tired of the Washington\Rich\Oligarch elite doing whatever they want to maximize their interests while the People get stuck with consequences without them showing a care in the world. I’m sick of mopping up after their messes and living the residual mess it leaves behind! (yea, I did just say that American society for the 99% is basically the residual left behind from the rich and "powerful" pursuing some god only knows agenda)
Make an example out of them. It is bad enough the American People have been forced to let bribery slide (aka campaign contributions) but treason?! Oh HELL NO!

Unprecedented? Unfortunately NO. Nixon scuttled the Viet Nam peace accords in 1968, leading to four more years of war and most American deaths in that twenty-seven year long war, Reagan offered arms to Iran for not releasing the U.S. hostages in 1980. Treason is just SOP for Repugscum.

Again, I would vote "no" but that's not an option here. The reason is simple. They acted out of arrogance and stupidity. Their intent was to make Obama look bad (which he does without any help) and because of the distrust of Iran.
I can't blame for the distrust of the Iranians. They've shown that they will do as they when they please regardless of any outside pressure or threats of further sanctions. Iran will acquire the capability to build a bomb, even a "dirty" bomb and use it as blackmail against Israel or simply use it period. That puts Israel in a situation where they cannot count of the US and would, therefore, take whatever steps they have to, including the use of its own nukes (assuming they have them---wink wink),
As for making Obama look weak, the Iranians, and indeed the world, already sees Obama as weak, not to mention a lame duck. His foreign policy has sadly lacking in anything that remotely looks adaquate. Both Hilliary and Kerry are seen as failures while Hillary acting "imperalistic" and Kerry as just plain childish compared to the European, Russian, and Asian professional dipomatic corps.
Obama's presidentcy is viewed by many, both at home and aboard, as one lacking in direction. Yes, the Republicans could be blamed for some of that, but so could the Democrats and Obama himself. In the end, the Iranians will get a good chuckle out of it (even if only behind doors) while the Germans, French, English, Russians, and Chinese, will roll their eyes and shake their heads. At this point, any deals or agreements of note will fall to Obama's successor just as it did when Jimmy Carter tried to work with the Iranians (to which Ronald Reagan was given the credit rightly or wrongly), not that the Iranians will uphold their end in long run of course.
