You don't get it Mr. Hartmann.

People wanted something different after GW Bush. They wanted to vote for somebody that clearly offered a fundamental departure from that which was suggested by the traits of past presidents. So they voted to change the President's race.

Now, after Obama has proven he is just as influenced by money, money, money as GW Bush, the People again find themselves unfullfilled and are seeking to identify something fundamentally different in their next President,... so they are going to vote to change the gender of the President and see if that doesn't do the trick. And ya know what? IT WON'T CHANGE ANYTHING, NADDA, JACKSHIT, ZIP....

If I've said it once I've said it a thousand times: Cash is a bigger determinant of the behavior exhibited by a sitting President than anything he or she says on the campaign trail or that which might be suggested by that Presidents race or gender. Let me repeat that, Cash is a bigger determinant of the behavior exhibited by a sitting President than anything he or she says on the campaign trail or that which might be suggested by that Presidents race or gender. Hillary - if she (the collasal parasite that she is) wins - will perpetuate the status quo of the 99% taking a back seat to money, money, money.

So, “misogyny” and “racism”?! Would you believe Obama and soon hillary’s performance may have played a role in it first? I know this probably isn’t obvious given where you sit in America’s the socio-economic landscape, but when Obama’s and soon (I fear) Hillary’s performance toward the People fail, People will get angry and when some People get angry they may turn toward THE RESPONSIBLE PARTY’s race and gender as a lightning rod for their anger. (People say shit that they shouldn't when their angry - which isn't to say that there are real misognists and racists out their that would cling to these ugly values no matter how much Hillary or Obama treated them like the powerful, heavily moneyed lobbyists that they fawn all over on a daily basis at the expense of the American People)

Yes, believe it or not, Obama and soon Hillary’s performance played a role in it – these Presidents of the Democratic Party failed the 99% more often than the 1% (just ask the lobbyists to the TPP). But, your needs are met Mr. Hartmann, you don’t see or experience Obama’s and soon Hillary’s failure toward the 99% quite the same way same way as the millions of American who’ve dropped out of the middle class and/or forced to scrimp by while the relatively rich appear unaffected.

From Cracking the Code:
"No one communicates more thoughtfully or effectively on the radio airwaves than Thom Hartmann. He gets inside the arguments and helps people to think them through—to understand how to respond when they’re talking about public issues with coworkers, neighbors, and friends. This book explores some of the key perspectives behind his approach, teaching us not just how to find the facts, but to talk about what they mean in a way that people will hear."
Paul Loeb, author of Soul of a Citizen
From Cracking the Code:
"In Cracking the Code, Thom Hartmann, America’s most popular, informed, and articulate progressive talk show host and political analyst, tells us what makes humans vulnerable to unscrupulous propagandists and what we can do about it. It is essential reading for all Americans who are fed up with right-wing extremists manipulating our minds and politics to promote agendas contrary to our core values and interests."
David C. Korten, author of The Great Turning: From Empire to Earth Community and When Corporations Rule the World and board chair of YES! magazine
From The Thom Hartmann Reader:
"In an age rife with media-inspired confusion and political cowardice, we yearn for a decent, caring, deeply human soul whose grasp of the problems confronting us provides a light by which we can make our way through the quagmire of lies, distortions, pandering, and hollow self-puffery that strips the American Dream of its promise. How lucky we are, then, to have access to the wit, wisdom, and willingness of Thom Hartmann, who shares with us here that very light, grown out of his own life experience."
