Well track failure cannot be a reason. Those tracks were in perfect condition the last time they were inspected, in 1953.

Privatization of PUBLIC transportation is a national disgrace. It is also a matter of national security. Transportation, telecomunications, utilities AND banking should be "public" or nationalized !!!!! Anything less is immoral, criminal, disgusting and downright ignorant!

Since Regulation is a dirty word, it will not happen until those belonging to the billionairs club decide we also need quality transportion above ground and not just below. :)
