Hartmann vs. Gainor who claims lefty protests filled with anti-Americans?

Dan Gainor, Business and Media Institute, joins Thom Hartmann. Can't Occupy Wall Street and the Tea Party agree on one main thing...there's far too much corporate influence in our government?

Hartmann: 12 yr old progressive Gavin Clarke says free speech is a "sham"

Gavin Clarke, 12 year old progressive activist involved in OWS movement, speaking at Enough is Enough this weekend, joins Thom Hartmann. Youth make up a large portion of the 99% movement - and ultimately - they face the bulk of the consequences of the 1 percent walking off with all our cash and crashing the world economy.

Hartmann: Is the Tea Party joining OWS?

Lynn Parramore, Alternet & Ex-tea partier Shane Brooks. What's going on with occupations in the rest of the country? Things got tense in New York City last night too. At least 10 demonstrators were arrested as the Occupy Wall Street movement marched from it's home base of Zuccotti Park to Union Square as a show of solidarity with Occupy Oakland. One altercation - where cops appearing to be punching and kicking a man on the ground was caught on video as they arrest him. Occupiers are on high alert around the nation in light of the increasingly brutal police crackdowns - but that's not stopping them from pressing on.

Hartmann: Injured vet Scott Olson's roommate speaks out

Keith Shannon, roommate of critically injured 2x Iraq war vet Scott Olsen speaks out. Occupy Oakland demonstrator - and Iraq War veteran - Scott Olsen is still in a hospital in stable condition with a fractured skull after being hit in the head with a tear gas canister during Tuesday night's police assault on Occupy Oakland.

Full Show - 10/26/11. Eyewitness to #OWS Oakland Night of Terror

Senior writer and editor for Alternet.org, Joshua Holland gives a detailed account of the second night of violence in the Occupy Oakland movement. Later in the show, Thom debates his two conservative guests in the Lone Liberal rumble.

Hartmann: What #OWS & The Tea Party Agree on to Revolutionize America

A nation pregnant with revolution - as ours is today - doesn't just give up. But the real question is...what KIND of revolution does the nation want? What's the real change people are looking for? Since President Obama took office - two revolutionary groups - or ideologies - have sprung up - The Tea Party and Occupy Wall Street. And while on the surface - they may seem like they want to bring about two completely different revolutions - a closer look reveals there is a common thread. A chart on Democratic Underground today that breaks it all down.

The Good, The Bad, and the Very, Very Benthopelagically Ugly

The Good! Former Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens. Even though he's retired - Justice Stevens has a lot of insight that current high court justices should be listening to. In an interview with TIME magazine - Stevens went after the War on Drugs and Citizens United. The Bad! Bank of America CEO Bryan Moynihan. First - Bank of America takes 45 billion in bailout money from we, the taxpayer. Then, the bank announces it will start charging a $5 ATM fee on we the taxpayer because it, "has a right to make a profit." And the very, very ugly...Rush Limbaugh. Yesterday on his radio show - Limp-balls made a pretty outrageous - yet revealing - comment about the Obama administration.

Hartmann: The USA - Patriot Act Ten Years Later - UnPatriotic & UnAmerican

Susan Herman, ACLU joins Thom Hartmann. Today is the tenth anniversary of President George W. Bush signing into law the PATRIOT Act. So...Happy Birthday to expanded wiretaps - library book snoops - x-ray porno scanners - no-fly lists - terrorist watch lists - the Department of Homeland Security - and everything else that's come out of that massive give-away to the security-state-complex since the PATRIOT Act became law. There's no question about it - our nation is radically different today as a result of the PATRIOT Act than it was just ten years ago. But is it safer?

Hartmann: Would Perry's Flat Tax Bankrupt the US?

Robert Borosage, Institute for America's Future vs. Anthony Holm, Republican Strategist/Attorney. Rick Perry's flat tax plan is just flat out wrong for the country's 99 percent. But one of my guests this hour begs to differ...we'll debate Perry's new flat tax that could cause the nation to flat-line.

Hartmann: The "We the People" Campaign

Katrina vanden Heuvel, The Nation Magazine & Jay Harris, "We the People" campaign. And one of the biggest ideas coming out of the Occupy Movement deals with corporate personhood. General Assembly meetings across the nation have put ending corporate peronhood at the top of their list of demands. For example, the Occupy Minneapolis movement's General Assembly agreed by absolute concensus on October 22nd that, "Resolved. That the General Assembly of OccupyMN orders that Congress introduce an amendment to the United States Constitution to end corporate personhood, effectively stating that "corporations are not people and money is not speech." Why corporate personhood? Also approved by concensus was this statement, " It is the opinion of the proposal presenter that of all issues important to OccupyMN this is the most important because corporate influence on government hinders all other progress we hope to make." So why has this very clear proposal caught on like a wildifre among the Occupy movement - what are the consequences of corporate personhood - and how exactly do we do away with it?

Hartmann: Eyewitness to #OWS Oakland night of terror

Joshua Holland Alternet joins Thom Hartmann. Peaceful protestors were under seige in the streets of Oakland last night as cops lobbed flash grenades, fired tear gas canisters, and shot rubber bullets into crowds. The shocking street video and the latest developments from the Occupy Oakland movement.

Hartmann: Imagine a World without Fox News?

Imagine a world without Muslim fear mongering...or bias corporate ideology. Sure sounds nice huh? In tonight's Daily Take, I'll tell about a world missing one particular "news" network.

Hartmann: The Good, The Bad, and the Very Very Catagelophobically Ugly

The Good! Hutton Hotels. The Tennessee hotel was slated to host the innocuously named "Preserving Freedom Conference" next month. That was until the hotel discovered the conference was actually an anti-Muslim hate fest sponsored by the most popular Islamophobes in America - from Frank Gaffney to Pamela Gellar. The Bad! The Atlanta Police Department. When Teresa Culpepper noticed her truck had been stolen - she called the Atlanta cops to report it. A few minutes later - SHE was the one behind bars. Rick Perry. Here's how you go from being a crazy alert - to making it on the good, bad, ugly list. Perry has now given his second interview in which he hypes birtherism.
