There are some militant

There are some militant vegetarians in the Communist Party who tell me that for the good of the earth I should go veg.Until they create turnips that taste like pork, I will always love meat more.I love soy cheese, and the sweet dessert tofu, but all of the soy "meat" products from sausages, hamburgers, hot dogs and "chicken" nuggets -are pretty bad.I hate factory farming-it's extremely inhumane.Farm animals deserve a quality life since it is so very brief.I could live without beef since it's often so tough and I'm too lazy to chew, but I have always eaten a pig a year.I do love soy and rice milk more than pastuerised milk, we should be able to buy whole milk-it has 10X the taste.Hutterite and Mennonite colonies wash the cows and keep spotless sparkling ceramic tiled milking barns.Only disgusting feedlots and factory farms make whole milk dangerous.

Back  in my  grandma's  day.

Back  in my  grandma's  day.   They ate small amounts of  fresh meat , chicken ,  fish   NO hormones or antibiotics ,  home baked bread.  They exercised,  NO TV - NO video games  History will show we are slowly  killing oursleves -making oursleves sick   Kids  left at home alone will not  be active  or eat right .  What  good  is living  to an  old age without having  quality  of life ?   My  7  aunts lived to their  90's  and were mobile  and alert till the end.  GOP wants to gut EPA so we have even more toxins   in our food and water .

I have been dreaming of this

I have been dreaming of this for years. Hoping that we can put and end to the slaughter. I could never understand why no one was trying this. We can create so many replacement parts for humans now, why can't we replicate a muscle from a cow, sheep, pig, chicken, etc. As a former vegetarian, I welcome this new development. Mabe it will make us a kinder and gentler society. Maybe we won't damage so much of our water and land. And maybe we can grow these things in high rise buidings, which take up less space on this planet. Use solar power to power the building, recylcle the water. You know, get really conservation minded.

It's a qualified yes. If

It's a qualified yes. If muscle cells (meat) can be grown to create meat protein in a way that does not include all kinds of additives like those used to create much of our current meat, it would be a positive development. Remember we use fungi to create bread and wine, and bacteria to make cheese. Positive also in terms of animals lives, water usage, sewage disposal, and a number of other qualities. But it's a big "if" based upon the current practices of factory farming and corporate agriculture. Think back to the scandal and personal tragedies of Chinese pet food, enhanced to make it seem it had a higher protein content. The end result was dead pets.

A lot of our health problems

A lot of our health problems are from the "fake food" we eat daily. going back to the food we are evolved to eat is the way to get back to being healthy. get rid of lab created foods and gmos for the health of the nation.
