Although the Rebulican Oligarchs engineered the fiscal cliff and have brought us to the precipice, they show no movement toward relenting in their plan to destroy the United States of America, its economy and its people who happen to earn less than $1,000,000 per annum. I say bring on the cliff and bring on the debt default and then perhaps we shall finally see the end of these dastardly villains and all that they represent (at least for a while). Let the whole damn thing go and perhaps even bring the oloigarchs down to where the rest of us are.

I haven't a clue what those deadbeat do-nothing bastards will decide before the end of 2012. But I sure am tired of these stupid dramas going on in Congress. Who needs soap operas?! - Aliceinwonderland

they (coservatives) are not even considering comming back. they look at this as yet another chance to show the president and his liberal coharts as failing to do anything in running the country. I would say more than half actually believe this is the right way to go because it shows liberals and the executive branch are incaple of running the country. They are not even considering that the president is correct in his approch to running the country. They look on the physical cliff as liberals fault. With 3/4 of the country listening to Fox and conservative radio America will get a hugh display of liberals being blamed as physical dunces. This will be spun by every conservative talker with air and tv time. If it works or not they believe it will!

Hello All

Thom's blog in this space and moving to a new home.

Please follow us across to hartmannreport.com - this will be the only place going forward to read Thom's blog posts and articles.

From Screwed:
"Hartmann speaks with the straight talking clarity and brilliance of a modern day Tom Paine as he exposes the intentional and systematic destruction of America’s middle class by an alliance of political con artists and outlines a program to restore it. This is Hartmann at his best. Essential reading for those interested in restoring the institution that made America the envy of the world."
David C. Korten, author of The Great Turning and When Corporations Rule the World
From The Thom Hartmann Reader:
"Thom is a national treasure. Read him, embrace him, learn from him, and follow him as we all work for social change."
Robert Greenwald, political activist and founder and president of Brave New Films
From The Thom Hartmann Reader:
"Thom Hartmann is a literary descendent of Ben Franklin and Tom Paine. His unflinching observations and deep passion inspire us to explore contemporary culture, politics, and economics; challenge us to face the facts of the societies we are creating; and empower us to demand a better world for our children and grandchildren."
John Perkins, author of the New York Times bestselling book Confessions of an Economic Hit Man
