Fighting tyranny is one thing. Killing someone in the process is wrong.

If he was fighting tyranny with non-violent actions, I would say that was a good cause. If he were blowing up empty police cars, throwing tea into the harbor, or something which got peoples attention, but did not kill or injure anyone, I could understand it.

I assume the NRA will be suggesting that all their members get their guns and go hunt Dorner. After all the solution to one nut with a gun is an armed mob.

This is an odd poll question. So far the only support he is getting is from the anti-gun nuts and not the other way around.

If you enjoy golf, you are a golf enthusist or it is your hobby, likewise with skiing, hikeing horseback ect. If you enjoy shooting, reloading, gunsmithing or hunting you are a "gun nut" looking for someone to shoot. Do I have the definition of gun nut right?

Nobody should believe anything said by the LAPD or the media until they have read Dorner's words for themselves. I am so glad I don't live in LA any more, but unfortunately Daryl Gates and his ilk have been sniffing around the Portland police department for decades and as a result we have the same kind of corrupt, psychotic attitudes that the LAPD has in spades.

While I hate to condone the killings, I understand what he is trying to do and in a choice between the LAPD and Dorner, I choose the latter.

Aw c'mon "mkiprc"... choose a serial killer over the police?! Like choosing skinheads over the KKK. WHUP-ti-do.

Hello All

Please follow us across to hartmannreport.com - this will be the only place going forward to read Thom's blog posts and articles.

From Screwed:
"I think many of us recognize that for all but the wealthiest, life in America is getting increasingly hard. Screwed explores why, showing how this is no accidental process, but rather the product of conscious political choices, choices we can change with enough courage and commitment. Like all of Thom’s great work, it helps show us the way forward."
Paul Loeb, author of Soul of a Citizen and The Impossible Will Take a Little While
From Screwed:
"Thom Hartmann’s book explains in simple language and with concrete research the details of the Neo-con’s war against the American middle class. It proves what many have intuited and serves to remind us that without a healthy, employed, and vital middle class, America is no more than the richest Third World country on the planet."
Peter Coyote, Actor and author of Sleeping Where I Fall
From Cracking the Code:
"Thom Hartmann ought to be bronzed. His new book sets off from the same high plane as the last and offers explicit tools and how-to advice that will allow you to see, hear, and feel propaganda when it's directed at you and use the same techniques to refute it. His book would make a deaf-mute a better communicator. I want him on my reading table every day, and if you try one of his books, so will you."
Peter Coyote, actor and author of Sleeping Where I Fall
