Again with the double response! Oh well. Yes, the police seem to think every person is a potential criminal and treats them as such. Then they are militarized. It only follows that then would develop further this "us vs them" mentality and act like a bunch of wannabe special forces in urban combat zones. But what they don't seem to realize is that if they go around viewing the people as the "enemy", so or later the people will become the enemy.
