I am amazed at the positive responses when I wear my Bernie for President shirts. I have used all my Bernie buttons, T's, and bumper stickers; I am awaiting an order of buttons, T's, stamp. I have a Bernie bear. I find myself "campaigning" rather it is educating and reporting events not covered by most media. I do this at community meetings, awaiting trains, trolleys and buses, on the Capitol Limited, and the farmers' markets, especially the one at South Station, Boston, the former site of Occupy Boston

Both are right answers here, yes elections should be publicly funded, and Kudos to bernie fo rtrying to introduce a bill to do it,of course the republicans will try to kill it I am sure, they want to keep the money coming from the people who bought them.

Another option: Yes, and I had a good breakfast.

Sometimes these polls are too silly.

Hey, when polling reflects two optimal responses please provide check boxes instead of radio buttions. :-)

Publicly financed campaigns---yes and add make election day a national holiday, manditory participation, and a circumscribed campaign period.

We also need to roll back the Nixonian war on education, after 45 years of which we have become a nation of morons.

Hello All

Thom's blog in this space and moving to a new home.

Please follow us across to hartmannreport.com - this will be the only place going forward to read Thom's blog posts and articles.

From Unequal Protection, 2nd Edition:
"Hartmann combines a remarkable piece of historical research with a brilliant literary style to tell the grand story of corporate corruption and its consequences for society with the force and readability of a great novel."
David C. Korten, author of When Corporations Rule the World and Agenda for A New Economy
From The Thom Hartmann Reader:
"With the ever-growing influence of corporate CEOs and their right-wing allies in all aspects of American life, Hartmann’s work is more relevant than ever. Throughout his career, Hartmann has spoken compellingly about the value of people-centered democracy and the challenges that millions of ordinary Americans face today as a result of a dogma dedicated to putting profit above all else. This collection is a rousing call for Americans to work together and put people first again."
Richard Trumka, President, AFL-CIO
From Screwed:
"Thom Hartmann’s book explains in simple language and with concrete research the details of the Neo-con’s war against the American middle class. It proves what many have intuited and serves to remind us that without a healthy, employed, and vital middle class, America is no more than the richest Third World country on the planet."
Peter Coyote, Actor and author of Sleeping Where I Fall
