POTUS.com lists George Washington's religion as Episcopalian. It's probably based on how he was raised. In fact, I would bet he was confirmed in the Episcopal Church. But what you do when you're 12 and your parents run your life has nothing to do with your beliefs at age 65.

Right Wingers have no use for facts. You can pretty much take anything a Republican says, flip it around completely - and there you will find the truth.

I love it when you offer these history lessons, Thom! It's infinitely fascinating to me and is so needed in our society today. Sadly, our schools no longer teach this stuff.
