I've heard some bizarre attempts at Latin plurals, including Sarah Silverman's abortion > abortii (which was a joke, at least), and Elvis > Elvi (even though the paradigm for "-is" gives Elvēs, which is funnier).

Just listened to Peter Ferrara ranting on Thom's show. He claimed that Thom makes things up and flat out lies, and even went so far as to imply that his listeners just want to hear just that. Now I don't know whether Peter or Thom has the facts and are representing them honestly... but Thom's calm manner and effort to get real questions answered, vs Peter who talks fast, angrily and evades or try's to reword the question to his advantage does tend to make me have more faith in Thom. Now I can either choose to research the facts of either side, or I can choose to have faith in the person who had convinced me through the strength and style of their argument.
I can see why Thom is constantly advising his listeners that his choice to have as many right wingers on his show is to model an appropriate way to have a discussion with a right winger. The discussion is in no way going to change either participants point-of-view, but it may just influence anyone who may be observing the discussion.
I wish I had Thom's patience, I avoid political debates just because I don't, and have no wish to end up screaming like a buffoon and making a spectacle of myself.... like Peter Ferrara so aptly and reliably does when he comes on to the show.

The cleansing of the temple parable also supports the principle of holding spiritual practices sacred and free from commercializaiton, Thom. Referance Matthew 21:12-14.

Growing up in a fundamentalist Southern Baptist envirnoment having witnessed the conflation of religion and right-wing corporate politics firsthand while watching many of the faithful sleepwalk (or should I say "sleeprun") through the commercializaion of Christmas routine, I'm glad you confronted that issue head on. Thanks for inviting the AFA spokesman on the show.

The fact that the AFA in concordance with their minion group One Million Moms even posed this list of stores NOT to shop because they wond pander to the lowest common denominator shows what a sense of entitlement Fundamentalist Christians have. Vacuous F-tards.
