Comedy - look at the images on John Boehner's Facebook page!

Today's images has captions: From the White House: "It doesn't really matter to us" how long the shutdown lasts. Senior Administration Official. Wall Street Journal 10/3/13.

The quotes are only around "...It doesn't really matter to us" - so that could be in reference to ANYTHING. Someone added the remainder of text out of context and should be sued for fraud!

God, this is so FRUSTRATING!! Callers keep bringing up how LAME the Democrats are (with a couple exceptions) and that they refuse to stand up and do the right thing. Tom, you keep repeating the same thing over and over -- get involved at a local level, do what the Tea Party did, take over the party. THAT DOESN'T WORK WHEN YOU NEED MILLIONS AND MILLIONS OF DOLLARS TO COMPETE WITH THE REPUBLICANS!!!!! WHY DO YOU KEEP REPEATING THAT THIS IS THE ANSWER?????

The answer is that we MUST get rid of Citizens United, or we must pass a constitutional amendment that will once and for all control campaign finance and mandate public funding.

I know you try to be upbeat and hopeful and I thank God for your program (I'd likely have blown my brains out by now without it), but we must open up this conversation and stop DELUDING ourselves that we have any chance up against BILLIONAIRES who simply BUY ELECTIONS. THAT'S HOW THE TEA PARTY GOT ELECTED -- BECAUSE THEY HAD THE BIG MONEY BEHIND THEM!!!

I was also a big surprised by how reticent Bernie seemed to talk about the TPP which could literally dismantle the U.S. as a sovereign nation. We need MUCH MUCH MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THIS.

Thom's Blog Is On the Move

Hello All

Thom's blog in this space and moving to a new home.

Please follow us across to hartmannreport.com - this will be the only place going forward to read Thom's blog posts and articles.

From Cracking the Code:
"Thom Hartmann ought to be bronzed. His new book sets off from the same high plane as the last and offers explicit tools and how-to advice that will allow you to see, hear, and feel propaganda when it's directed at you and use the same techniques to refute it. His book would make a deaf-mute a better communicator. I want him on my reading table every day, and if you try one of his books, so will you."
Peter Coyote, actor and author of Sleeping Where I Fall
From The Thom Hartmann Reader:
"Thom Hartmann is a creative thinker and committed small-d democrat. He has dealt with a wide range of topics throughout his life, and this book provides an excellent cross section. The Thom Hartmann Reader will make people both angry and motivated to act."
Dean Baker, economist and author of Plunder and Blunder, False Profits, and Taking Economics Seriously
From The Thom Hartmann Reader:
"Thom Hartmann channels the best of the American Founders with voice and pen. His deep attachment to a democratic civil society is just the medicine America needs."
Tom Hayden, author of The Long Sixties and director, Peace and Justice Resource Center.
