And the very, very ugly! Rep. Matt Salmon! The Republican Congressman from Arizona stopped by the San Tan Charter School in Gilbert, Arizona to speak to 2nd and 3rd graders. Parents expected him to talk about how bills become laws - a topic that for years has been capably taught by "School House Rock." But Salmon decided to update the lesson a bit. By using the international agreement to prevent Iran from getting a bomb as an example of how vetoes work. Progressive Roundtable: Has Political Correctness Gone to Far?

Ari Rabin-Havt, The Agenda-SiriusXM Progress 127/The Benghazi Hoax & Kai Newkirk, 99Rise & Erik Altieri, The Agenda Project all join Thom. CNN's S.E. Cupp took on one of the great mysteries of this election cycle - and maybe American history - in a new column over at Townhall.com. "Why Trump?" she marveled. She looked a few a theories - maybe Republicans are bad people and he's tapped into the conservative base - or maybe he's resonating with the disenfranchised Republican voter who's tired of establishment politics. But she thinks it's something else - she writes that, "Thanks to unrelenting demands by the left for increasingly preposterous levels of political correctness over the past decade, people are simply fed up. Trump survives - nay thrives! - because he is seen as the antidote, bravely and unimpeachably standing athwart political correctness." So there are two things here: have we gone too far with political correctness? And have we so gone so overboard with political correctness that Trump's candidacy - and all the boisterous insults and media shenanigans that come with it - is the natural backlash?

Even though everyone knew voter ID laws were really always about suppressing the vote, the talking point from Republicans was that they would help peopl get ID's. This Alabama case seems to blow that out of the water. It can't be a coincidence that they're trying to close DMV's as opposed to raising taxes. Can it?

The Progressive Roundtable Feels the Bern!

Ari Rabin-Havt, The Agenda-SiriusXM Progress 127/The Benghazi Hoax & Kai Newkirk, 99Rise & Erik Altieri, The Agenda Project all join Thom. Bernie Sanders has now officially caught up to Barack Obama’s poll numbers from the summer of 2007. He’s now polling just under 30 percent - which is exactly where then Senator Obama was just a few months before he shocked the world and beat Hillary Clinton in the Iowa caucus. Clinton is doing better in the polls this time around than she was back in 2007 - but Bernie’s poll numbers are as good a sign as any that his campaign has a chance to make this election - very - very interesting.
