i voted yes because that's what should happen and i want to be positive
I regretfully voted that they won't tax the oligarchs, though I strongly hope that they do. I want to be so wrong, so wrong it will be like a new dawn for our country.
I voted no because i am currently reading Howard Zinn's Peoples History and it is fresh in my mind how much the working class had to go through to effect change the last time we were in this situation. We're not even close.
I would like to think that common sense would prevail, but watching the Republicans in action on TV and during their debates I don't think they will. Defeating Obama in 2012 remains their principal concern. Unfortunately, a lot of people out here do not seem to be getting the message that they want nothing more then to push them into poverty so that the rich can become even richer.
Barbazza I'm with you, I remain postive and believe if they're smart enough with all that is going on they should have no other choice than to do what is right for the people. The people have to stand up, get out there - keep sending msgs. to each and every one of the twelve.
Just wait and see if fist fights, prompted by the gang of 12 republicans, break out , when negotiations fail and the trigger looms..due to frustration over the automatic defense spending cuts....... just saying!
I voted yes. I hope for a positive outcome cause if not, me and my people are screwed.
As much as I would like to hope, I just don't know how unless there is one compassionate Republican that will see the light and joint the Democratic members of the committee and that the Democratic committee members remain strong. Time will tell.
Without any real incentive to change direction and without any real signs that the 6 Ganster Republicans and the 6 Democrats will send us back into the direction of FDR any thoughts that will occur are simply baseless hope. I stand by what I have thought now for years...this country must have and eventually will have a second Revolution. That is not what I WANT...but it is inevitable. The oligarchs are commanding the ship and they will never ever ever ever give that up unless made to via force.
Voted No, because of the 12 republicans are out to destroy this President and it's election time...Do you honestly think they would screw up that bad with Corporations who line their pockets....nope, I justy wish this President would grow some balls, but I don't see that happening anytime soon......it's the people who are going to have to get together and say ...This is enough BS......ask your Congress Person if they would take a 50% cut in pay, pay for their own Insurance,no more free perks, etc....and see what happens...also no more pension period after 6 yrs.....Hell I wish I could get those things after only working 6 yrs....but we have to work 40 yrs. or more to get kicked him the mouth
