From Cracking the Code:
"In Cracking the Code, Thom Hartmann, America’s most popular, informed, and articulate progressive talk show host and political analyst, tells us what makes humans vulnerable to unscrupulous propagandists and what we can do about it. It is essential reading for all Americans who are fed up with right-wing extremists manipulating our minds and politics to promote agendas contrary to our core values and interests."
—David C. Korten, author of The Great Turning: From Empire to Earth Community and When Corporations Rule the World and board chair of YES! magazine
From The Thom Hartmann Reader:
"With the ever-growing influence of corporate CEOs and their right-wing allies in all aspects of American life, Hartmann’s work is more relevant than ever. Throughout his career, Hartmann has spoken compellingly about the value of people-centered democracy and the challenges that millions of ordinary Americans face today as a result of a dogma dedicated to putting profit above all else. This collection is a rousing call for Americans to work together and put people first again."
—Richard Trumka, President, AFL-CIO
From Cracking the Code:
"No one communicates more thoughtfully or effectively on the radio airwaves than Thom Hartmann. He gets inside the arguments and helps people to think them through—to understand how to respond when they’re talking about public issues with coworkers, neighbors, and friends. This book explores some of the key perspectives behind his approach, teaching us not just how to find the facts, but to talk about what they mean in a way that people will hear."

Now, no one is to blame when the automatic cuts kick in. Convenient
Agreed Gang has a no fault bail out plan. NO guts NO glory Cowards This was a joke from the get go .
has to be a a better way but I doubt those morons find it.
You're wrong. If the automatic cuts kick in it's both sides fault. On the positive side of it, they wouldn't kiick in until 2013, after the elections. So, it's important we vote in the right people next year. But it's also what the Repugnants want, the economy to fail. I think they have the mistaken idea that if that happens the people will blame Obama, but in light of their current voter approval rate of 9%, it won't work and they;ll lose big time in 2012. Unfortunately, many people can't seem to differentiate between the good and bad guys in Congress, which is a mistake. We need to keep the ones who are working on our behalf and weed out the bad. Next year is probably the most important vote we'll ever make.
I was pleased to watch the House vote on C-Span today and watch the balanced budget amendment fail, despite 25 turncoat Democrats who voted in favor of it. Surprisinly, 4 Republicans voted against it. It's a start.
Can you stop adding your own statement to the answer? Just ask us to answer yes or no.
We can add our own comment later. I can't select a yes or no when you add something I don't agree with.
Before they voted to do this, I thought it was a terrible thing to do.
Reagan wanted to get rid of SS; GWB came in to privatize it; The Repugs have always wanted to get rid of SS & Medicare - and THEY CARE NOTHING ABOUT THE MIDDLE CLASS. I call them the LYING CHRISTIANS and the Evangelicals don't act like Christian at all - they are part of the moneychangers. BUT - GOD does not let me judge who is going to Heaven.
The money changers will win and the people will lose with these politicians. Look at NEWT. He should be in prison - and he is #2 OR #3 on the Repug polls. DISGUSTING!!!
John Dean wrote in 2004 - in Worse than Watergate that the Repugs had a plan to get rid of SS & Medicare -and I believe this is it and they will be able to blame the Dems for going along with them.
Maybe if a hundred thousand people called each of the Gang and told them to leave SS & Medicare alone or we will vote them out and even call for a RECALL of ALL of them - maybe they would wake up.
They have there own agenda We went to war preempted undeclared 2x with money borrowed from China who wrote the book the art of war years ago If we had a voice does not going to war have to go through congress frist?
