Sometimes I have dreams, literally (as when I am sleeping) that I am living in Sweden. The I wake up...look out my window....and remember where I really am.... This country is at such a significant crossroads right now it is almost impossible to over-state it...are we going to move forward or are we going to degenerate back towards the Dark Ages....If were to bet I'd say it's at best 50/50 we will love forward...I hope I am wrong
California universities are very expensive. I wish something like this could be done in California. They are pricing student right out of the market. Even the community colleges have become so much more expensive.
With His Holiness The Dalai Lama, at His home in Dharamsala, India (Synthesis Dialogues - made into a movie narrated by Harrison Ford)
From The Thom Hartmann Reader:
"With the ever-growing influence of corporate CEOs and their right-wing allies in all aspects of American life, Hartmann’s work is more relevant than ever. Throughout his career, Hartmann has spoken compellingly about the value of people-centered democracy and the challenges that millions of ordinary Americans face today as a result of a dogma dedicated to putting profit above all else. This collection is a rousing call for Americans to work together and put people first again."
—Richard Trumka, President, AFL-CIO
From Screwed:
"Thom Hartmann’s book explains in simple language and with concrete research the details of the Neo-con’s war against the American middle class. It proves what many have intuited and serves to remind us that without a healthy, employed, and vital middle class, America is no more than the richest Third World country on the planet."
—Peter Coyote, Actor and author of Sleeping Where I Fall
From Screwed:
"The powers that be are running roughshod over the powers that OUGHT to be. Hartmann tells us what went wrong — and what you and I can do to help set American right again."
—Jim Hightower, National Radio Commentator, Writer, Public Speaker, and author of the bestselling Thieves in High Places
My tuition (excluding books and room/board) for 15 months enrollment= $40K.

"...wherever the people are well informed they can be trusted with their own government..."
"If a nation expects to be ignorant & free, in a state of civilisation, it expects what never was & never will be."
Thomas Jefferson
Too bad folks can not see the incredible value in investing in our young 's education. Americans can be very short sighted .
Wish you all the best Nurse
IMHO, the reason we've been electing all these idiots the last 30 years is most people can't afford to go to college anymore, just the 1%....
