Yes. We're a nation of codependents with "Daddy issues" ... and just LOVE to be lied to. There's no other way to explain Fox News and Sarah Palin.

The 1% have all the smallpox vaccine cornered...just in case.

But it's probably a moot point, since the climate is going to spin out of control sooner than most expect. At least the redneck deep south will get clobbered before it get us farther north. It's just God's way of saying how much he loves all you fundamentalist yahoos.

I think the Nov election will just decide how quickly we descend to serfdom; if one of the rethugs wins, it'll happen like a bullet through cheese.

No. We are waking up as a society to the injustices of our political and economic systems. This can indeed be seen by the Occupy Movements. We will fight for justice and equality rather then to become serfs and live in perpetual debt slavery. One way of defeating the banksters is to simply opt out. The system cannot run if we choose not to obey.

Once people have had a taste of freedom and a decent life, they will not willingly revert to serfdom. if necessary, people will start another civil war, although I pray that will not be necessary.

I voted yes but...The bottom will drop out for EVERYONE. It wont matter if you only have a single dollar or one billion of them...Our money is worthless and it's only going to get worse. "Maybe" then the playing field will become more even...The big question is:As a people will we learn from our mistakes? Will we realize that sollutions only work when we fully understand the problem? Will we lick our wonds and change our way of thinking so that people and planet last...realizing that sure it's okay to make alot of money, but to reward blood sucking and knowingly allow for such belligerent buisness practices and hostle foreign policies that continue to rob people of their lives is NOT exceptable
Will we allow corporations to rule over the voice of the people? We MUST end Corperate Personhood and NEVER FORGET & NEVER ALLOW GREED TO OVERCOME THE IMPORTANCE OF "WE THE PEOPLE..."

We the people need to call for a constitutional convention to amend and restore our constitution before they take the right to do so away. Article V in the constitution says if 2/3 states agree congress must act on our behalf to demand a constitutional convention. An attorney in Florida has started a petition. Sign and share it, he has a book about it but you don't have to buy anything to sign the petition. I believe this will give us a platform to start the dialogue we need to fix the damage that has been done to our freedoms.

Hello All

Thom's blog in this space and moving to a new home.

Please follow us across to hartmannreport.com - this will be the only place going forward to read Thom's blog posts and articles.

From The Thom Hartmann Reader:
"Thom Hartmann seeks out interesting subjects from such disparate outposts of curiosity that you have to wonder whether or not he uncovered them or they selected him."
Leonardo DiCaprio, actor, producer, and environmental activist
From Unequal Protection, 2nd Edition:
"If you wonder why and when giant corporations got the power to reign supreme over us, here’s the story."
Jim Hightower, national radio commentator and author of Swim Against the Current
From Screwed:
"Hartmann speaks with the straight talking clarity and brilliance of a modern day Tom Paine as he exposes the intentional and systematic destruction of America’s middle class by an alliance of political con artists and outlines a program to restore it. This is Hartmann at his best. Essential reading for those interested in restoring the institution that made America the envy of the world."
David C. Korten, author of The Great Turning and When Corporations Rule the World
