America won't have any sane and sensible policies until the people stop providing regular 99% popular vote mandates for a continuum of the corporate (R) & (D) party's sociopathic policies.
Note that climate change is rapidly accelerating into irreversible catastrophic consequences for those so unfortunate to inherit the cost of the ignorance of the Greatest Generation, and the depravity of My Generation.
Expanding to cradle to grave medicare makes the most sense for a timely and efficient way to finance healthcare, but I think the great state of Vermont will go down in the history books as the domino that starts the state by state single payer conversion to sanity. God bless them!
Health care, no! The way we are going, it won't be long before policemen, firemen, city workers, animal control, lifeguards, no body, will respond to help unless you have hot cash waiting in the palm of your hand.
I voted yes,but I am ever the optimist. It will take getting rid of the radicals in the House, which will be no easy task considering all the Super Pac money that will spread dis information, distortions and outright lies during the election year. It will take real grass roots action to get a majority back in the House and retain or increase the Democratic majority in the Senate.
"Thom Hartmann is a literary descendent of Ben Franklin and Tom Paine. His unflinching observations and deep passion inspire us to explore contemporary culture, politics, and economics; challenge us to face the facts of the societies we are creating; and empower us to demand a better world for our children and grandchildren."
—John Perkins, author of the New York Times bestselling book Confessions of an Economic Hit Man
From Screwed:
"I think many of us recognize that for all but the wealthiest, life in America is getting increasingly hard. Screwed explores why, showing how this is no accidental process, but rather the product of conscious political choices, choices we can change with enough courage and commitment. Like all of Thom’s great work, it helps show us the way forward."
—Paul Loeb, author of Soul of a Citizen and The Impossible Will Take a Little While
From The Thom Hartmann Reader:
"Never one to shy away from the truth, Thom Hartmann’s collected works are inspiring, wise, and compelling. His work lights the way to a better America."
—Van Jones, cofounder of RebuildTheDream.com and author of The Green Collar Economy
Elect Rocky Anderson as president and watch healthcare for all happen.
