From Screwed:
"Thom Hartmann’s book explains in simple language and with concrete research the details of the Neo-con’s war against the American middle class. It proves what many have intuited and serves to remind us that without a healthy, employed, and vital middle class, America is no more than the richest Third World country on the planet."
—Peter Coyote, Actor and author of Sleeping Where I Fall
From Unequal Protection, 2nd Edition:
"Beneath the success and rise of American enterprise is an untold history that is antithetical to every value Americans hold dear. This is a seminal work, a godsend really, a clear message to every citizen about the need to reform our country, laws, and companies."
—Paul Hawken, coauthor of Natural Capitalism and author of The Ecology of Commerce
From Screwed:
"Once again, Thom Hartmann hits the bull’s eye with a much needed exposé of the so-called ‘free market.’ Anyone concerned about the future of our nation needs to read Screwed now."
—Michael Toms, Founding President, New Dimensions World Broadcasting Network and author of A Time For Choices: Deep Dialogues for Deep Democracy

Well I was shocked that trump won, I would be totally shocked if Democrats we're enthused enough to keep it from happening again!
First I don't like the choices given us in this survey.
Maybe--IF there are Democratic candidates to vote for. In gerrymandered districts incumbents have no challengers often. If the divide between Democratic and Progressive is overcome by voters. If voters go to the polls. IF Republican states stop disenfranchising its voters. If disappointed Republicans vote for Democratic candidates. Maybe...
Dear Thomm,

Let me ask YOU a question. Do Democrats WANT to win the 2018 elections?? It takes work on THEIR part; we can't help.. If they really want to, they will fight like a professional boxer; keeping their opponent off balance.. ducking and dodging.. First of all they have to learn how to overtalk their opponent just as well as Republicans do. - A Republican changes subjects when cornered. A Democrat when cornered, needs to insert critical talking points that are closely related to the subject, which connects with their constituents at a moment's notice and ignore what the Republican said. If they complain "you didn't answer the question!" Just keep on piling up talking points that nullify what they asked. Bury them with the truth! Democrats desperately need private think tanks.. Democrats need to turn into bulldogs.
trump did not win! There were 30 corrupt state atorney generals that utilized a program call crosscheck to identify possible demoncratic voters and unconstitutionally removed about 13.5 million of them rom the voter roles.
Their goal was to fill the local, state, and federal seats with corrupt republicans, trump was sucked into office by mistake mistake. He is their distraction whiole they take up back to the 1920's depression era, when the rich controlled everything including their slaves.
It was going as planned until they went to far. Even calling it tgrumpcare did not work.
The probloem is the corporation controlled corrupt republicans will use crosscheck again to insure they stay in power and not go to prison.
"-CAN- Democrats win in 2018?" Of course they -can-, but the -real- question is =will= -they- .. .. and the answer to that is a resounding "probably not"! The reality is that the =National= Dems are hung up on the Corporate money-teat, where ::Party:: is more important than the people they ::supposedly:: represent. And, of course, [sarc on] they're going to be sooooo surprized when they lose their asses, =again= [sarc off], but, :of: :course:, they'll just spin a tale of woe and denial, =again=, and not learn a damn thing .. the Bastards! The =National= Dems have been -completely- =worthless= for -yeeeaaars-, but they steadfastly =refuse= to even look at, much less admit -why- this is so.
My family has always voted Democrat since we came to this country, but if they continue to -consciously-/-deliberately- =refuse= to face reality, screw 'em -- not another dime, not another bit of work or effort for them, nada. If they sincerely try, that's one thing, but if they continue to deliberately refuse . . . . .
this should scare everyone, yet most that I know are just walking around going...eh! Really not sure. The rrepug-nazis are working overtime to turn America inside out, and create a soviet style govt., it seems.
The actor hired to distract low knowledge Americans is doing an exemplary job. While everyone watches his talented slap-stick comedy, the GOP wing of organized crime is robbing the American public blind, stealing $TRILLIONS$ of dollars from Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid programs, while using US drug addiction, health insurance, and endless war without cause to rob our savings. Meanwhile, the Democratic wing of organized crime is desperately trying to figure out a way to take over these grifts. We the people need a party that represents we the people. We can convert one wing of organized crime, or we can build from nothing. Neither one can be accomplished while munching popcorn and watching sports.
Nope. The Dems are so obsessed with their "we wuz robbed" and "Trump is so politically incorrect" hysteria that they are sure to go down in flames even bigger in 2018.

Right. Hillary lost. Big. As the most despised woman in America, she had no chance at all. Even sarah Palin would have beaten her. And after what she and Debbie did to Bernie, I shall never vote for another Democrat.
