I predict that Trump will not be impeached. Why? You get fired for not doing what you were hired to do or causing financial losses for the company. The reality actor and his real estate grifter / money laundry family were hired to entertain Americans while the GOP destroys the USA, and are DOING A FANTASTIC JOB. That leaves causing losses. In this case, it means interrupting the cash flow from Oligarch to Congress. Trump is NOT reducing that cash flow. Some might argue his fascism or corruption "damage the brand". Frankly, the GOP doesn't care, they are not "party over country", they are "me over you". GOP folks ONLY work together when their owner tells them to - there is no "team". Finally, have 5 shots of whiskey and smoke three joints and eat 20 aspirin (to deaden your intellect sufficiently) and listen to ANY hate radio station for 30 minutes. They LITERALLY live in a world that is TOTAL FANTASY. We "intellectuals" are concerned with what is happening today. On hate radio, they argue that peace marches are the same as violent riots, and try to equate mistakes HRC made in 1976, Robert Byrd made in 1935, and George Washington made in 1780, all of which those actors recognized, acmitted, apologized for, and attempted to make amends.

In 1860, the US fought a civil war to prevent a Nazi nation created inside the USA from destroying our democracy. We made a mistake by NOT doing what Germany did after WW-II. In Germany, statues or museums dedicated to Nazis are BANNED and it’s ILLEGAL to openly spout Nazi rhetoric. The USA needs to outlaw and destroy ALL statues of Lee and other Nazi generals and FOREVER BAN NAZI SPEECH OR PROPAGANDA

Now that the Republicans think they have control, they are coming out and showing themselves as bigots, racists, haters, and killers, all for the purpose of enriching themselves at the expense of American businesses and citizens. We the people need to VOTE OUT THE FASCIST REPUBLICANS WHILE THERE IS STILL TIME - and DO NOT BE FOOLED THAT FASCISM IS THE FAULT OF THE REALITY ACTOR AND HIS REAL ESTATE GRIFTER - MONEY LAUNDERING FAMILY

I think we, as in YOU - THOM, need to do a bit more of something you are the ONLY person in media doing. In fact, the DNC should be doing it. What? You are the ONLY person who points out a fundamental, yet almost entirely unknown, fact - PROGRESSIVE POLICIES ARE BETTER FOR THE RICH THAN CONSERVATIVE POLICIES. To keep this short, let's look at an example. 40 years ago, the USA had roughly 700 "ultra rich"people. After 40 years of Republican economic policy - work tirelessly to increase the income of the ultra-rich, the USA has DEcreased to roughly 500 "ultra rich" people. 40 years ago, China had ZERO "ultra rich"people. After 40 years of economic policy that worked tirelessly to increase the income of the lowest earners, China now has roughly 500 "ultra rich" people. It's logical, all money in any economy circulates repeatedly until it finally parks in the account of a billionaire. Handing $1 to a billionaire helps the billlionaire, but only one person and only one dollar. Handing $1 to a ditch digger helps the billlionaire by 10 cents - several hundred times. Needless to say, EVERYONE between the ditch digger and the billionaire is benefited. The bottom line is that while progressive policies help the poor, they actually help the rich even more.

Did you know that we're 20-some years into our war on the poor?

Two comments on today (Thursday), stock market and impeachment

1. Stock market - While I agree with all your premises, there is one reason I don't think the stock market will crash. Massives amounts of money have been given to the mega-rich. With real estate, manufacturing, commodities and bonds all moribund, there isn't anywhere else to put the money EXCEPT the market. Hence, I think we will see the bubble get a LOT bigger. If Democrats get control and fix the economy, that money could move out of the market.

2. Impeachment - I've been saying this since the election. My belief is that we will see a repeat of Nixon. Remember Nixon, Agnew, and Ford? Trump will allow the dirt to come out on Pence, to remove him. He then appoints Chris Christie, someone who is as corrupt as Trump and will trade a pardon for a job there is no possibilit he could ever win. More important, Christie knows that Trump has the dirt on him, so Christie dare not withhold the pardon.
